The Sunday, August 20th MLB schedule begins with the Seattle Mariners visiting the Houston Astros on Peacock. MLB Network has the game between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. ESPN+ has the game between the Baltimore Orioles and Oakland Athletics and the night game on ESPN has the Philadelphia Philles at the Washington Nationals. Pitching changes wiped out most of the action last week in the parlays. We’ll focus again this Sunday on three main picks for our MLB sides parlay and two picks for an MLB totals parlay. Let’s look at Sunday, August 20 MLB Parlay picks.

Sunday MLB Parlay Picks
Cleveland Guardians
The Cleveland Guardians host the Detroit Tigers on Sunday and it should be Logan Allen going for the Guardians. He has become one of the more reliable starters for Cleveland and the Guardians need him to pitch well down the stretch if they are to have any chance of catching Minnesota. Allen is 6-5 with a 3.33 ERA this season. Detroit should be going with Alex Faedo and he is 2-4 wit ha 5.16 ERA. I’ll take the Guardians as the first team in the parlay.
Chicago Cubs
The Chicago Cubs get the benefit of facing Jordan Lyles and the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Lyles is somehow still in the starting rotation for the Royals and that tells you just how bad this pitching staff is. Lyles is 3-13 with a 6.30 ERA. Kyle Hendricks gets the ball for Chicago and he is 4-6 with a 4.00 ERA. I’ll take the Cubs as the second team in the parlay.
Baltimore Orioles
The last team in the parlay will be the Orioles, as they visit the A’s. It could be either Grayson Rodriguez or Kyle Bradish going for Baltimore. It doesn’t matter to me who Baltimore throws and I don’t fear any of the Oakland starting pitchers. I’ll take the Orioles as the last team in the parlay.
Sunday MLB Parlay Total Picks
White Sox-Rockies Over
The Chicago White Sox visit the Colorado Rockies on Sunday and it should be Dylan Cease going for Chicago, while Colorado sends Chris Flexen. Cease is not the same pitcher he was last year, as he comes into this game at 5-6 with a 4.32 ERA. Flexen has struggled all season, first for Seattle and now for Colorado. He is 1-5 with a 7.74 ERA. I’ll go over the total with the White Sox and Rockies for the first game in the totals parlay.
Marlins-Dodgers Under
The Miami Marlins are hanging in the National League Wild Card race, but they get the tough task of taking on the surging Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. The Dodgers might be the only team that can compete with the Braves in the National League. The Marlins are expected to send Braxton Garrett to the mound on Sunday and he has been one of the most underrated pitchers in the league this season. He is 7-3 with a 3.91 ERA. The Dodgers send one of their young starters to the mound in Bobby Miller. He could easily end up in the Los Angeles postseason rotation. He is 7-2 with a 3.70 ERA. This should be a pitching duel so I will go with the Marlins and Dodgers under the total as the second game in the parlay.
