Valspar Championship Golf PredictionsWhen: March 8-11, 2018

Where: Innisbrook Resort - Copperhead, Palm Harbor, Florida

Format: 72 holes - Stroke Play

Purse: $6,500,000

Defending Champion: Adam Hadwin

TV Coverage: GOLF Channel and NBC

The second event of the Florida Swing gets underway March 8-11, 2018 at the Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida. The tournament started in 2000 as the Tampa Bay Classic. Chrysler, PODS and Transitions all have been past sponsors before Valspar took over in 2014 and signed on for five years.

Innisbrook Resort - Copperhead is the host course and features one of the most difficult final three holes in golf, known as the “Snake Pit.” The 7,369 yard layout has the feel of a northern course with tree-lined fairways. It’s not your typical Florida track and why the players love it.

Last year, Canadian Adam Hadwin picked up his first win on the PGA Tour be holding steady down the stretch by making par on the difficult final hole to edge Patrick Cantlay by a stroke.

K.J. Choi and Retief Goosen are the only players to win this event twice. Other past winners include Jordan Spieth, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Charl Schwartzel and Gary Woodland.

Valspar Championship Golf Prediction

Preview: After a short trip south of the border for the WGC - Mexico Championship, the PGA Tour continues its Florida Swing this week near Tampa at the Valspar Championship.

The betting field is one of the strongest I’ve seen in the history of the event. Five of the top 13 in the world rankings are pegging it up led by Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy. Spieth won here in 2015 and McIlroy is making his first start at Innisbrook. Continue...

2017 Valspar Championship Recap

Canadian Adam Hadwin survived a late scare to claim his maiden PGA title with a one-shot win at the Valspar Championship in Innisbrook, Florida.

The 29-year-old, who carded a round of 59 in January, began the final round with a four-stroke lead.

But he put his tee shot into the water at the 16th, made a double bogey and was tied for the lead at 14 under.

However, Hadwin parred in for a level-par 71 and Patrick Cantlay bogeyed the last to finish second.

Live In-play Golf Betting

Live golf betting is an increasingly popular service that is being offered by many online bookmakers. Basically, it allows you to place bets while play is ongoing, with the odds changing to reflect events as they unfold, and you can place bets right up to the end of the tournament.

With traditional fixed odds betting, you can only place bets before and after play commences each day, so if you miss your window, you have to wait until the next break in play before you can place another bet. Continue
