No sport draws the attention on a single day of the week, like American Football has on Sunday. The NFL and Sunday are synonymous with each other throughout the fall months and into winter. It’s a day football fans relish and eagerly await all week long.
Sunday also offers fans a coup of betting opportunities with the vast majority of teams suiting up on that day from September to January.
Of course, with so many games, it’s hard to keep up with the NFL betting odds, injuries and trends you need to know to build that bankroll, but that’s were Gamblers Palace comes in keeping you up to date with all the information you need to know from the first kickoff to the last play on Sunday night.
The best game of the week is typically showcased on Sunday Night Football, which is why the program has become one of the most watched in NFL history. The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) has aired a primetime game on Sunday night since 2006 and has boasted marquee matchups nearly every week, bringing the weekend of NFL football to close in exciting fashion. To make sure football fans are treated to the best games on Sundaynight, the NFL offers flexible scheduling for the featured matchup, guaranteeing the top teams compete every week and a great opportunity to earn that last bit of extra cash in the day’s NFL betting action.
Is it possible Sunday Night Football has taken over the throne as the NFL’s standalone game of the week?
Three of the first four matchups will be divisional matchups with the Bears and Packers kicking things off in Week 1. The Giants will then invade “JerryWorld” to run with the Cowboys with both teams looking to turn the page on 2017 as quickly as possible. After the Patriots run with the Lions in the Motor City the following week, one of the best rivalries the NFL has to offer will go down in Baltimore where the Ravens will look to take it to the Steelers. What a tasty opening month of the season for Sunday night!
The Cowboys and Patriots make return visits to Sunday Night Football in Weeks 5-6, then some new blood enters in Week 7 when the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers get it on at Levi’s Stadium in a crucial NFC West matchup. Jared Goff versus Jimmy G – sign us up! Closing the second month of the Sunday Night slate out will be none other than the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings in a rematch of one of the most shocking playoff results since the “Music City Miracle.”
Future Hall of Fame quarterbacks will lead their respective teams into battle in Week 9’s telecast when Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers tango with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in a potential Super Bowl LIII preview. Dallas will make its third appearance of the year under the Sunday night lights when they battle the defending champs in the City of Brotherly Love the following week.
Another grudge match is lined up in Week 11 when the Steelers and Jaguars crack skulls. Big Ben threw for over 500 yards against Jacksonville’s stout pass defense in the playoffs last season, but it still wasn’t enough to overcome the Steelers poor defense and shoddy special teams play. The Packers close the month of November out with their third SNF appearance at Minnesota with the NFC North title possibly on the line.
The final month of Sunday Night Football betting action could be hit or miss. The Seahawks are lined up for a pair of home games against San Francisco and Kansas City, while the Oakland Raiders make their lone appearance in a home tilt with the Steelers; their third and final appearance. The Week 15 Sunday night matchup against the Eagles and Rams will be must see TV. Each is installed one of the favorites to take NFC honors this season, so you know both sides will pour their heart and soul into the matchup.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys enter this Week 10 tilt at the complete opposite end of the spectrum after falling at home to the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. Some teams, such as Tampa Bay, Buffalo, Cleveland, Los Angeles and Oakland, don’t often make it into the Sunday Night Football lineup.
