Winner Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6 of the NBA Finals
Phoenix Suns vs. Milwaukee
Bucks
The NBA Finals are here and in the west the Phoenix Suns knocked out the Los Angeles Clippers in game 6 in order to advance to the finals and face the Milwaukee Bucks who overcame the Atlanta Hawks in game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. This finals series will depend on which team is the strongest and it would appear right out the gate that the Suns have the advantage of health and momentum.
Phoenix Suns
The Suns overcame the Los Angeles Clippers in game 6 of the conference finals and were granted an entire week of rest before having to set foot back on the court. Devon Booker is averaging 27 ppg in the playoffs which is more or less in line with his average of 29 ppg in the regular season. Deandre Ayton is pulling down 11.8 rpg and averaging 70.5% in field goal percentage and Chris Paul is noticeably consistent with his average of 8.7 apg.
The suns are a team running on all cylinders and with none of their key players suffering from injuries. The case is much different with the Bucks since their number one player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, has been benched due to a hyperextended knee injury although he is listed as day to day.
The Suns will look for weaknesses in the Bucks defense and drive them to the hole on every chance they get. Once they have gotten into the heads of the defense you will see a united, focused Suns offence.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks faced the Atlanta Hawks and went 6 games in the conference finals. The biggest issue is not the amount of time they have to recover from the previous series, it’s the fact that Giannis Antetokounmpo is facing the possibility of being benched for the rest of the finals. Unfortunately, regardless to his day to day status, his hyperextended knee injury is a serious one.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is scoring 28.2 ppg in the playoffs whereas his season ppg was 28.1. He is also the exceeding his regular season rebounds with 12.7 as opposed to 11.0. The second leading scorer is Khris Middleton at 23.4 ppg in the playoffs which will be significant in the finals. Jrue Holiday has also improved in the post season with an average of 8.4 apg, way above the 6.1 he was contributing in the regular season.
They swept Miami, took the Nets to 7 games, made it past the up and coming Atlanta Hawks in 6 games but will the Milwaukee Bucks have what it will take to get past the Suns and take home a championship?
