Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The NBA Conference Finals are getting underway which means that we are just days away from knowing who will face off in the Finals. The Atlanta Hawks played an incredible series as they slipped by the 76ers in game 7 of the Conference Semifinals. Now the Hawks face the Milwaukee Bucks who beat out the Brooklyn Nets also in 7 games. This is sure to be a tough series for the Hawks considering that they have not been in the playoffs since 2017 whereas the Bucks have made the playoffs every year for the last 5 seasons.
The Atlanta Hawks, who finished 5th in the east, are doing well in the post season considering they finished with a record of 41-31 where they were 25-11 at home and 16-20 on the road. In scoring the Hawks averaged 113.7 points per game while they kept their opponents to 111.4 points per game.
The guys who were key to the Hawks success in making the playoffs are Trae Young with 29.1 ppg and 10.4 apg, and Clint Capela with 11.6 rpg. There are a few players sidelined for the Hawks but so far their absences have not played into the Hawks current wave of success.
The Milwaukee Bucks landed in 3rd place in the east with a record of 46-26. 26-10 was the record at home and 20-16 was the record on the road. The Bucks scored the highest points per game average at 120.1 ppg while giving up 114.2 points per game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was the player leading the Bucks in scoring in the regular season with 28.8 ppg and 13.6 rpg, Jrue Holiday lead in assists with 7.5 apg. There are no key injuries on the side of the Bucks which means that they will present a solid matchup against the Hawks when they face each other in this series.
The winner of this matchup is scheduled to face the winner of the Western Conference Finals where the Phoenix Suns are facing the Los Angeles Clippers. For more information on the series between the Suns and Clippers, Click Here
