If you don’t have the time or desire to research the Thursday nighter, head over to Gamblers Palace where you’ll get up to date NFL betting lines and weekly free picks with analysis on every single Week 8 matchup.
Get to bed early Saturday night so you can get up refreshed and energized for the 9:30 a.m. ET kick at Wembley Stadium where the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars will kick the Week 8 Sunday slate in style. This matchup pits two teams that went deep in the playoffs last season, so it’s safe to say this will be one of the more intriguing London matchups since the NFL started playing games there.
Other notable Week 8 matchups set to go down on Sunday include the Broncos at the Chiefs, Ravens at Panthers and the Packers at Rams. But the one everyone will be tuning into will be the NFL Sunday night game on NBC who will air the rematch of the Saints and Vikings. Remember, New Orleans has Minnesota dead to rights at the tail end of their division round matchup last season, but then one of the best, or worst, plays in NFL playoff history occurred when Case Keenum hooked up with Stefon Diggs on a game-winning 61-yard touchdown pass as time expired. Millions of dollars exchanged hands on that single play, so you can bet your bottom dollar NFL bettors will be eager to get a second crack at this matchup!
Wrapping the week’s festivities will be the AFC East rival New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills. Bill Belichick loves seeing the Bills pop up on the schedule. Since 2003, Buffalo has only managed to pull out four wins in the last 30 skirmishes. Over the last 10, they’ve amassed two outright wins and gone 3-6-1 against the spread. New England has come out on top in each of its last six visits to New Era Field, and beat the linemakers in five of those contests.
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans, NRG Stadium – 8:20 p.m. ET ( FOX )
Opening Line: Houston -7, 45.5
Preview: Off a dominating win in Jacksonville that saw Bill O’Brien’s squad stake claim to the early lead atop the AFC South standings, the Houston Texans open the Week 8 live betting slate on Thursday Night Football looking to rattle off a fifth straight win. Their opponent, the Brock Osweiler led Miami Dolphins who were served up a big ‘ol slice of humble pie by the Detroit Lions a week removed from shocking the Chicago Bears in overtime. Continue...
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, Wembley Stadium – 9:30 a.m. ET
Opening Line: Philadelphia -3, O/U 41.5
Preview: What was supposed to be one of the best games the NFL has ever sent to London looks much more mediocre than it did at the start of the season. The Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars are both struggling mightily. The defending Super Bowl champions and last year’s runner-up in the AFC are both sitting at 3-4, and neither team can afford another loss at this point. This isn’t quite an elimination match, but the loser of this game is going to have an uphill battle to make it back to the postseason. Continue...
Green Bay Packers at Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum – 4:25 p.m. ET
Opening Line: Los Angeles -10, 56
Preview: With the Colts squaring off against the Raiders and the Niners going into the desert to battle the Cardinals, all eyes will be on the city of Los Angeles in the Week 8 afternoon slate when the Green Bay Packers square off against the heavily favored Los Angeles Rams in what’s sure to be a fast paced live betting slugfest. Linemakers have tabbed Aaron Rodgers the biggest underdog of his starting career. You know that won’t sit well with the pro bowler as he looks to outdo Jared Goff in what should play out to one of the bigger shootouts this season. Think Chiefs/Patriots! Continue...
New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings, U.S. Bank Stadium – 8:20 p.m. ET ( NBC )
Opening Line: Minnesota -1.5, 53
Preview: The New Orleans Saints return to the scene of the crime where the Minnesota Vikings ripped their hearts out in the NFC title game a short season ago looking to avenge that defeat in a big way. With both teams currently sitting atop their respective divisions, you can bet your bottom dollar on the live betting lines that you’re going to get optimum efforts from both sides. That should make for a much more interesting SNF matchup than the one that played out in KC last Sunday night. Continue...
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills, New Era Field – 8:15 p.m. ET ( ESPN )
Opening Line: New England -13.5, 44.5
Preview: The Buffalo Bills haven’t made many appearances under the Monday Night Football lights in the franchise’s existence. They’ve only made 42 of them in the 49-year running of the show. Unfortunately, this one might not be one to remember with Tom Brady and the heavily favored New England Patriots strolling into town. The Pats have taken eight of the last 10 meetings and did so by an average of 12.9 points per game. Buffalo enters this tilt the largest home underdog of the NFL betting season with many expecting it to be a low scorer. Should we look to fade that noise when looking to invest inthe Monday Night Football props with the Bills finally back in Buffalo for only their third home game of the season? Continue...
