With college football heading into the bowl season, those craving pigskin action to wager upon on Saturday’s will get hooked up in Week 15 with a pair of games set to go on the NFL Network. While they’re not the juiciest of matchups, beggars can’t be choosers. The Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos will kick things off a Mile High, and then be followed by the Texans and Jets at MetLife Stadium.
With the Chargers and Chiefs set to lock horns on Thursday Night Football, there will only be 12 games to wager upon the Week 15 NFL odd on Sunday. Though the slate is smaller, it still packs a punch with some major matchups set to play out over the course of the day.
Starting things off will be the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears from Soldier Field in the NFC North rivals final meeting of the regular season. These teams last faced off way back in Week 1, so a number of things could have changed for both squads leading up to the rematch. The one thing that won’t change is the Packers recent dominance of the rivalry with Mike McCarthy’s squad coming out on top in 16 of the last 20 meetings and covering all but five of those games. Chicago’s dropped eight straight to the Cheeseheads at home ( 1-7 ATS ).
Sunday’s afternoon and evening slate is unreal! You got the Seahawks and 49ers squaring off by the bay, the Patriots and Steelers getting it on from Heinz Field, and the Eagles and Rams squaring off in a potential preview of the NFC title game on Sunday Night Football! All three of those games will be broken down ad nauseum by our crack writing staff at Gamblers Palace, so if you’re hesitant about placing a wager on any of them, make it a point to take in as much information on all three matchups by reading everything we’ve got to say about them!
Bank of America Stadium will be off the chain on Monday Night Football when Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints square off against Cam Newton and his Carolina Panthers in a rematch from last year’s playoffs. These teams finished atop the NFC South standings a year ago with each garnering 11 wins, and they’ll be meeting twice over the final three weeks of the season. Think the schedule makers expect them to be in the thick of the division race? That was a rhetorical question…
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs, Arrowhead Stadium – 8:20 p.m. ET ( FOX )
Opening Line: Kansas City -3, 56.5
Preview: The AFC West rivalry between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs has been extremely one-sided dating back to the 2014 season. Andy Reid’s squad has swept the rivalry each of the last four years, and it already has a tally in the win column after scoring the 38-28 win and cover as 3 point dogs in Patrick Mahomes season debut. Both squads have injury concerns and enter this Week 15 tilt off grueling games against a couple of AFC North reps. On top of that, they’re playing on short rest. All that has seen total bettors pile in on the under forcing the number to take a major drop from the opener at online sportsbooks. Continue...
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears, Soldier Field– 1 p.m. ET
Opening Line: Bears -6, O/U 45.5
Preview: The Monsters of the Midway have a chance to lock up the NFC North this week. The Chicago Bears have been the best team in the division over the course of the season, and just one more win would give them their first division title since 2010. They would love to clinch the division in front of their loyal fans, but this will be their last chance to do so as they close out the season with road games against San Francisco and Minnesota. Doing so would be doubly sweet this week, as they face the team that has been their bugaboo for most of the last two decades, the Green Bay Packers. Continue...
New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers, Heinz Field – 4:25 p.m. ET
Opening Line: New England -1, 52.5
Preview: The sky seriously must be falling! Both the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are struggling mightily this season. While the former isn’t in any danger of missing out on the playoffs, the latter most certainly is. Another loss in Week 15 in front of a frenzied Heinz Field will no doubt have the boo birds out. Heck, Mike Tomlin might not be able to get out of the stadium in one piece should the black and yellow drop a fourth straight game. That no doubt makes for some must see T.V. with the Patriots installed nominal road favorites to come out on top at top rated sportsbooks – get your popcorn ready! Continue...
Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum – 8:20 p.m. ET ( NBC )
Opening Line: Los Angeles -9, 53.5
Preview: The Los Angeles Rams return home with their tails between their legs after getting a big ‘ol slice of humble pie served up by the Chicago Bears. Sean McVay’s offense failed to register a single touchdown in the 15-6 defeat. That will no doubt have the team in an ornery mood when they take on a skeleton crew otherwise known as the Philadelphia Eagles. The defending Super Bowl champions pretty much waved the white flag earlier in the week letting it be known that Carson Wentz is likely done for the season. That means Nick Foles will be under center for this Sunday Night Football bout. Does he get you excited about taking the points at offshore sportsbooks? Didn‘t think so! Continue...
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers, Bank of America Stadium – 8:15 p.m. ET ( ESPN )
Opening Line: New Orleans -6.5, 54
Preview: Just like the Minnesota Vikings last Monday night, the Carolina Panthers need to put their best foot forward and come up with a win against the New Orleans to have any shot of going back to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. Linemakers don’t expect that to occur after lining them near touchdown underdogs at home with one of the highest totals on the Week 15 slate. With this being the first meeting of the year between these NFC South rivals, you have to imagine each puts its best foot forward under the Monday Night Football lights. Let’s put the game under the microscope and see where we can attack it from a player’s prop perspective to make the end results even more beneficial and exciting. Continue...
