NBA Power Rankings - 2017 ATS Power Rankings
NBA Basketball Power Rankings - 2017 NBA Power Rankings
While the Celtics, Cavaliers, Wizards, Jazz, Warriors and Spurs all currently sit atop their respective divisions, it doesn’t mean they’ve been making money for NBA bettors this season. In fact, only half of those teams sport winning records versus the linemakers. There are however a handful of teams that’ve separated themselves from the pack, and it’s these teams you should probably look to continue backing the remainder of the regular season.
Philadelphia 76ers (48-29 ATS) – The Sixers currently sit 21 games under the breakeven point, but that hasn’t stopped Brett Brown’s up and coming squad from continuing to get the job done for their betting backers. Though it’s only split its last six games, Philadelphia gets four of its final five games of the season at home where it’s been nothing short of a moneymaker in covering 25 of 37 overall. They could conceivably end one of Chicago’s or Indiana’s seasons with a win.
Miami Heat (45-31-1 ATS) – The Heat are clinging onto the eighth and final seed in the East with Indiana, Charlotte and Detroit nipping at their heels. This team has battled adversity all season, so it would be quite the downer if in fact it finally bows out down the home stretch. Their end of season schedule is daunting however with four of five games to be played coming against teams jockeying for playoff positioning. The fifth is against the Hornets who’d love nothing more than to spoil their division rival’s playoff plans.
Oklahoma City Thunder (40-30-1 ATS) – Russell Westbrook’s 2016-17 campaign will go down in history as one of the greatest ever since the game first played way back in 1946. Russ registered his 40th triple-double of the season on Sunday versus Charlotte. Unfortunately, the Thunder lost that game and that’s been a recent trend for the Thunder who have dropped three of the last five games Westbrook went HAM in. OKC likely isn’t in jeopardy of falling out of the playoff picture, but it will certainly be entering the playoffs in very poor form if the trend continues.
Toronto Raptors (42-34-1 ATS) – With the playoffs right around the corner, the Dinos have once again put it into high gear winning seven of nine and covering six of those games against the closing pointspread. Home court advantage proved to be huge for DeMar DeRozan and his mates in the playoffs last season with the team advancing in its first two series after Game 7 wins on their home floor. Look for Toronto to do everything in its power to prevent Washington from leapfrogging them in the Eastern Conference standings.
Dallas Mavericks (42-34 ATS) - The Mavs are going absolutely nowhere but on vacation come the last game of the season. Still, Dirk Nowitzki and company have hardly looked like a team that’s thrown in the towel having covered three of its last four games. It also handed the Grizzlies a terrible defeat that will likely have them matched up with San Antonio in the first round instead of Houston. Dallas has covered three of its last four on the road and closes the year with three of five away from Big D.
And the Rest...
 Houston Rockets (42-35 ATS)
 Denver Nuggets (41-35 ATS)
 San Antonio Spurs (40-35-1 ATS)
 New York Knicks (40-37 ATS)
 Brooklyn Nets (38-36-3 ATS)
 Sacramento Kings (38-36-3 ATS)

 Memphis Grizzlies (39-38 ATS)
 Chicago Bulls (39-38 ATS)
 New Orleans Pelicans (38-38-1 ATS)
 Phoenix Suns (38-39-1 ATS)
 Golden State Warriors (37-38-2 ATS)
 Portland Trail Blazers (37-40 ATS)
 Charlotte Hornets (35-39-3 ATS)
