Any time the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl has had the opportunity to take one of the two teams from the state of Idaho, it has gone ahead and done just that, and that's what it has this year in what very well could be the last ever bowl game for the Idaho Vandals before they drop into the FCS in a couple seasons.

Idaho had a sneaky good season with eight wins, including four straight to end the campaign, but the Colorado State Rams are the heavy favorites in this game due to the fact that they too were incredibly hot down the stretch. Nick Stevens is the third starting quarterback for CSU this season, but he's the best of the bunch with a 14/1 TD/INT ratio since taking over as the team's starting quarterback. Toss in the fact that the MWC has provided a significantly greater degree of competition from the Sun Belt, and it's easy to see why bettors shouldn't be so quick to just jump on those points with the de facto hosts.

Opening Line: Western Kentucky -5

Preview: What you don't see often in bowl games between minor conference teams is a team with a lesser record being favored by any substantial margin over a team with a greater record. We're not suggesting that the Idaho Vandals are truly a better team than the Colorado State Rams, but to see them getting nearly two full touchdowns in a de facto home game in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl almost seems a bit shocking for bettors.
