Aqueduct, or what is also known as “The Big A”, opened on September 27, 1894 and has seen extensive renovations since its conception. The state of the art horse-racing facility and racino is located in South Ozone Park, Queens, New York and the only racetrack located within the New York City limits.
Aqueduct has hosted some of the biggest races in the US, including the Belmont Stakes. The track operates from the beginning of November to the end of March, with the highlight of the meet being the running of the $1,000,000 Grade I Wood Memorial, considered one of the last final prep races for the Kentucky Derby.
The horse track features three different ovals with the main dirt track measuring 1 mile long. A middle dirt track has a one mile circumference and is made of a limestone screening base that allows for races to be run in the winter. The inside track is just over seven furlongs in length and is comprised of dirt.
The horse betting action at Aqueduct is nothing short of exhilarating. Bet on any of Aqueduct's regular races during its season, or better yet, bet on the ponies during a major Aqueduct horse stakes or handicap event.
We offer various top online race books which cater to gamblers looking at major and minor racetracks in the United States, Canada and overseas. Continue
