The biggest game of all, of course, is the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn. Even if these two teams weren't all that great this season, it would be a game to watch for sure just because of the pure hatred these two schools have for each other. As it is, though, the winner of this game will play for the SEC Championship next week in Atlanta against Georgia and will keep dreams of playing for the National Championship alive. Sure, Alabama could still win it all even if it loses this game, but its chances of playing for all the marbles are definitely diminished if this game is lost.
The two teams out of the ACC that still have a shot of capturing the National Championship are also on the road on Friday and Saturday. Miami will be up first traveling to Pittsburgh while Clemson has to take on South Carolina on Saturday night.
Oklahoma is at home on Saturday against West Virginia in a game that would have been much trickier had Will Grier not broken his finger.
As far as the teams that are on the wrong side of the College Football Playoff at the moment, there will be a lot of attention paid to Wisconsin and Ohio State. These two teams are going to probably be playing against each other in the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis in Week 14. The Buckeyes will clinch their spot with a win over hated Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Badgers are playing in their annual rivalry game at Minnesota. Both teams have won 13 straight against their foes this weekend, but if either of those streaks were to go by the wayside on Saturday, it would throw the whole CFP into a loop.
Even the Group of Five has some huge games on tap this week, the biggest of which is the South Florida/UCF game. The Bulls are heavy underdogs in Orlando against a UCF team that has run the table to this point in the season. The winner of this game will be favored in the AAC title game over Memphis next week. The winner of that game will almost certainly represent the Group of Five in the New Year's Six.

The last week of the college football regular season is upon us, and the games that are on tap are about as good as it gets.
Kent State at Akron - 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Opening Line: Akron -15
Preview: Who would have thought that the Akron Zips would have destiny in their own hands to win the MAC East with one week left to play? The Zips only need to beat the Kent State Golden Flashes to advance to next week's MAC Championship Game, but you can bet the minnows of the division aren't going to go down without a fight. Continue...
Ole Miss at Mississippi State - 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Opening Line: Mississippi State -17
Preview: In a week of tremendous college football, the Egg Bowl sometimes tends to get a bit overlooked. Still, the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels have come a long way over the course of the last several seasons, and that makes this rivalry game one that the most avid college football fans out there won't miss. Continue...
Miami at Pittsburgh - 12 p.m. ET (ABC)
Opening Line: Miami -13.5
Preview: The Miami Hurricanes are two wins away from improbably playing in the College Football Playoff. Mark Richt's club keeps finding ways to win games no matter how much of a hole it ends up it, though it will hope to avoid such a hole this week on the road against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Continue...
Baylor at TCU - 12 p.m. ET (FS1)
Opening Line: TCU -23.5
Preview: The Baylor Bears certainly can't wait for this season to be over with. Matt Rhule's team was a certified disaster this year, going just 1-10 with one game left to play with the victory coming against woeful Kansas.
The TCU Horned Frogs are still holding onto slim National Championship hopes. A win against Baylor on Black Friday would setup a second meeting with Oklahoma in the Big XII Championship Game that could end up being a de facto national quarterfinal. Continue...
Missouri at Arkansas - 2:30 p.m. ET (CBS)
Opening Line: Missouri -11
Preview: With all of the other great teams in the SEC, you probably haven't realized that the Missouri Tigers have been darn good at the end of this season. They'll be playing in a bowl game once their regular season is said and done with, but they would love nothing more than to send the Arkansas Razorbacks to the golf course with an eighth loss on the campaign. Continue...
South Florida at UCF - 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
Opening Line: UCF -9.5
Preview: All season long, the South Florida Bulls and UCF Knights have been salivating for this Black Friday game against each other. The chips are literally all on the table in this one, as the winner of this game will likely control its own destiny to get into the New Year's Six while the loser will suddenly see its regular season come to an abrupt halt without even getting a trip to the AAC Championship Game. Continue...
Texas Tech at Texas - 8 p.m. ET (FOX)
Opening Line: Texas -10.5
Preview: Tom Herman's first year with the Texas Longhorns won't be remembered for much, but at least he's got his team in a bowl game this year. The same can't be said for Kliff Kingsbury and his Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Red Raiders are going to have to figure out how to beat the Longhorns on Friday night if they want to play one more game in December. Continue...
Georgia at Georgia Tech - 12 p.m. ET (ABC)
Opening Line: Georgia -10
Preview: The margin for error for the Georgia Bulldogs is zero at this point. They clearly control their own destiny to get into the College Football Playoff, but after losing to Auburn, they can't afford a setback. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets would love to score a big win for the ACC in "Rivalry Week" and knock the Dawgs out of the National Championship picture. Continue...
Ohio State at Michigan - 12 p.m. ET (FOX)
Opening Line: Ohio State -10
Preview: It's entirely possible that there are just two teams standing between the Ohio State Buckeyes and a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Bucks were left for dead a few weeks ago, but enough chaos has taken place that a win over the Michigan Wolverines in impressive fashion paired with a little bit of help could boost OSU into serious contention. Continue...
Florida State at Florida - 12 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Opening Line: Florida State -4.5
Preview: The 2017 season can't end soon enough for the Florida State Seminoles or the Florida Gators. Both of the regular championship contenders from the Sunshine State have been brutally disappointing this year, and their game is taking on less meaning this year than ever before. Still, this is a game of tremendous importance in Florida for recruiting purposes, and bettors could find a ton of value in this clash in Gainesville. Continue...
Louisville at Kentucky - 12 p.m. ET (SEC Network)
Opening Line: Louisville -9
Preview: The Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals play against each other every year in "Rivalry Week" in a game that always seems to fly under the radar. That said, this is a great regional rivalry and is the first salvo that will kick off the fierce rivalry these two share in the college basketball season. This year, both teams are heading to bowl games, and they'd both love to get the upper hand against the other. Continue...
Alabama at Auburn - 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS)
Opening Line: Alabama -4.5
Preview: The National Championship has more or less gone through the Iron Bowl over the course of the last several seasons. Either the Alabama Crimson Tide or the Auburn Tigers have played either in the National Championship Game or the College Football Playoff every season since 2009. Though it's not a foregone conclusion that the winner of this one will get the chance to play for all the marbles, there's a good chance that will be the case. Continue...
Wisconsin at Minnesota - 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
Opening Line: Wisconsin -16
Preview: Paul Bunyan's Axe will be on the line on Saturday between the Wisconsin Badgers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers. If that was the only reward for the winner of this game, it would be a huge one. But the fact that there are bowl bids and a National Championship on the line as well, it heightens this game to a stature it hasn't had in quite some time. Continue...
Penn State at Maryland - 3:30 p.m. ET (Big Ten Network)
Opening Line: Penn State -21
Preview: For the second straight season, the Penn State Nittany Lions are heading into the final week of the regular season knowing that they at least have a slim chance of playing in the College Football Playoff. Realistically, it isn't going to happen, but James Franklin's crew is going to be up for this last game against the Maryland Terrapins for sure. Continue...
West Virginia at Oklahoma - 3:45 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Opening Line: Check Back Later
Preview: The West Virginia Mountaineers blew their shot at the Big XII Championship Game last week when they were beaten by Texas. Now, they have to figure out how to get back on the horse and play against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday afternoon. If the Sooners can handle the Mountaineers, they'll be playing for their spot in the College Football Playoff next week in the Big XII Championship Game. Continue...
Arizona at Arizona State - 4:30 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network)
Opening Line: Pick 'Em
Preview: It hasn't been a bad year in the state of Arizona for college football fans. Both Todd Graham and Rich Rodriguez started the year on a very toasty seat with the Arizona State Sun Devils and Arizona Wildcats respectively, and both are going to have their team playing in a bowl game this year. Of course, that doesn't mean that either one is totally safe, but a win against an arch rival could go a long way towards helping that cause. Continue...
Clemson at South Carolina - 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Opening Line: Clemson -14
Preview: At the outset of the season, the Clemson Tigers were left for dead. They were looked upon as the second-best team in the ACC Atlantic Division behind Florida State, and they were going to have to rebuild in a big way after having basically their whole offense gutted. Now, they're on the verge of a third straight trip to the College Football Playoff and could legitimately win the National Championship for a second consecutive season.
The only thing standing in Clemson's way in the regular season is a game against the hated South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday night. Continue...
Notre Dame at Stanford - 8 p.m. ET (ABC)
Opening Line: Notre Dame -1.5
Preview: You'll have to pardon the Stanford Cardinal if they're a little more interested in watching a scoreboard than they are playing against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Cardinal will care about the Apple Cup with their Pac-12 Championship Game hopes on the line in the final week of the regular season. The Irish, though, couldn't care less about the Pac-12 title game and would love to take a bite out of the Cardinal and keep their National Championship dreams alive. Continue...
Washington State at Washington - 8 p.m. ET (FOX)
Opening Line: Washington -11
Preview: Over the course of the last three or four seasons, the Apple Cup has evolved from just another rivalry game that means squat on a national level to one that legitimately could end up playing a role in the National Championship chase. The Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars are probably down for the count for good, but with enough chaos, it's anyone's guess what could happen with all of the two-loss teams in the nation. Continue...
