NCAA Football Week Twelve Game Previews - Tuesday, November 13, - Saturday 17, 2018

You’re not tired of MACtion yet are you? If so, we’ve got some bad news for you. Half the weekday games set to go in Week 12 college football betting comes from the conference. Tuesday and Wednesday night are reserved with three games that pits Western Michigan up against Ball State, Buffalo against Ohio in a crucial East division tilt, and Miami Ohio against Northern Illinois in a vital non-divisional skirmish.

The Toledo Rockets are going to be lined as huge road chalk on the college football betting odds when they kick off Thursday night’s college pigskin slate at Kent State. The Tulane/Houston AAC matchup will follow on ESPN followed by the late night kick in Denton where the Mean Green will host Florida Atlantic in a showdown of Conference USA heavyweights.

A fantastic doubleheader is lined up under the Friday night lights in Week 12! Memphis and SMU will square off in AAC action on ESPN2 with both squads looking to build off bowl campaigns from the previous year. CBSSN will telecast the Mountain West clash between Boise State and New Mexico. The Broncos have dominated this conference rivalry in winning eight of the last nine, but the Lobos plus the points have been the recent side to back evidenced by their 6-1 ATS mark over the last seven!

Duke has been a pest under the watch of David Cutcliffe having gone bowling five of the last six seasons. However, the Blue Devils have simply been no match for Dabo Swinney’s Clemson Tigers who’ve throttled them each of the last four seasons by an average of 31.5 points per game while laying an average of only 17 points per game. The Dookies will likely be getting a ton of help by the linemakers, but will it be enough to put an end to their four game SU and ATS losing streak?

The game of the week in the ACC finds the Miami Hurricanes traveling to Lane Stadium where they’ll collide with win hungry Virginia Tech. These teams played to first and second place within the Coastal Division last season after the Canes bludgeoned the Hokies 28-10 as 2.5 point home chalk last season. The win moved Miami to 3-1 SU and ATS over the last four seasons. That said, VTECH has come out on the right side of the scoreboard four of the last five times Miami invaded Blacksburg ( 3-2 ATS ).

Not much to get excited about from a Big Ten perspective in Week 12. Though all the heavyweights are on the road, they’ll be lined decisive favorites to win their respective matchups save for Northwestern who should get a battle from Minnesota.

With so many crucial battles going down last week in the SEC, it comes as no surprise to see a ton of cream puff non-conference opponents lined up in Week 12. Save for Ole Miss/Vandy, Mizzou/Tennessee, and Arkansas/Miss State, there isn’t much to get excited about from an entertainment standpoint this week. That is unless you crave laying 30-50 point spreads!

Thankfully the Big 12 offers up a solid slate to attack the Week 12 CFB betting lines. We’ll kick our coverage off in Austin where the Texas Longhorns will be on upset alert against the Iowa State Cyclones. No coach got more from loss in B12 play last season than Matt Campbell who led his young up and coming Cyclones to 8-5 SU and 11-1-1 ATS records. That lone pointspread defeat just so happened to come against Texas who scored the 17-7 win and cover as 5 point Ames chalk. ISU has tallied less than 10 points in two of its last three visits to Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. Expect a determined effort to be put forth this time around.

Other notable Big 12 tussles going down in Week 12 include Texas Tech squaring off against K-State, West Virginia and OK-State getting it on from Stillwater, and TCU invading Waco for a skirmish with the Baylor Bears.

The Pac-12 is loaded with a ton of games that will have fans and bettors of the conference up to the wee hours of the night. The latest edition of “The Big Game” will go down in Berkeley where Cal will look to snap a eight game losing streak to the Stanford Cardinal. They only covered twice during that stretch and lost by an average of nearly 20 points per game. The Golden Bears did however push Stanford to the brink on the road last season only falling 17-14 as two touchdown underdogs. Maybe they see this upset bid all the way through?

Other juicy tilts include USC throwing down with UCLA, Arizona State looking to take two in a row from the Oregon Ducks, Utah looking to continue its dominance of Colorado in winning five of the last six meetings, and total bettors looking to ride the over streak between Arizona and Washington State ( 3-0 L/3 ).

We’ll close things out highlighting the Week 12 CFB betting lines in California where the San Diego State Aztecs and Fresno State Bulldogs will collide in a crucial Mountain West tilt. If the pecking order hasn’t already been decided to this point in the season, this is as big as it gets. Boise State is expected to cruise to the conference title with it entering the regular season -200 chalk to do so. However, both the Aztecs +650 and Bulldogs +500 are right behind them. The matchups between these teams have been one-sided in each of the last four seasons. Fresno logged the 27-3 win and cover last season on SDST’s turf, but dropped the previous two matchups by the combined score of 38-10.

NCAA Football Betting Predictions / Saturday, November 17, 2018 Picks

USC Trojans vs. UCLA Bruins, Rose Bowl – 3:30 p.m. ET (FOX)

Opening Line: USC -5, 55

Preview: Even if the USC Trojans were to rattle off wins in their final two games, they wouldn’t be allowed to defend their Pac-12 South title due to losing the tiebreaker to current leader Utah. With that, it remains to be seen what kind of grit and determination the Trojans bring with them to the playing field to close the year. Still, it’s UCLA week so it’s safe to say they’ll have plenty in the tank in hopes of serving up yet another loss against the CFB odds for the struggling Bruins. Continue...

Stanford Cardinal vs. Cal Golden Bears, Memorial Stadium – 7:30 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network )

Opening Line: Stanford -2, 45

Preview: The Stanford Cardinal have dominated recent editions of The Big Game having rattled off eight straight wins to cash in money line tickets at top rated sportsbooks. However, this year’s edition finds the Cal Golden Bears dogged by the fewest points since the teams last met in this exact same venue back in 2012. The five meetings since saw the Cardinal close as 14.2 point favorites on average. That right there shows exactly how much better linemakers believe this year’s installment is under the watch of stud head coach Justin Wilcox. This should play out to a thrilling defensive battle. Continue...

Iowa State Cyclones vs. Texas Longhorns, Royal Texas Memorial Stadium – 8:00 p.m. ET (Longhorn Network)

Opening Line: Texas -3, 50.5

Preview: With the West Virginia Mountaineers set to invade Stillwater for a scary matchup against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, both the No. 22 ranked Iowa State Cyclones and No. 19 ranked Texas Longhorns know full well that their slim hopes of going to the Big 12 title game ultimately hinge upon winning this game. Should the Mountaineers slip up, the victor of this game would breathe new life. With that, it’s safe to say this tilt will go down as one of the best offered up at top rated sportsbooks in Week 12.
