Another dose of MAC action kicks off Week 12 on the College football betting lines, with the Kent State at Bowling Green and Ohio at Central Michigan games set to air on ESPN2 on Tuesday, November 15. If that wasn’t enough for you, two more games are set to air on ESPN2 Wednesday, November 16, with the Northern Illinois Huskies invading Eastern Michigan and Toledo playing host to Ball State.
ESPN’s Thursday night game of the week takes college football bettors to Houston where the Cougars and Louisville Cardinals will step out of conference play for what looks to be an intriguing battle on paper. Fireworks could be in store with Greg Ward Jr. in the house, so this could be one of the premiere games to live bet of the Week 12 slate.
The NCAA Friday Night Lights, kick off on November 19, that host two-game slate, headlined by the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels invading Boise State to battle the Broncos on the “Smurf Turf” at 9 p.m. ET. These teams met up last season after a two-year hiatus, and the result wasn’t pretty for the Rebs who got torched 55-27 as three-touchdown underdogs at home. UNLV has yet to beat Boise State, but stands 2-1 against the college football betting lines in the all-time series.
The first ever trip to Notre Dame Stadium will be taken by Virginia Tech on Saturday, November 19, when the Hokies and Fighting Irish collide in the first of what will end up being four meetings down the road. Take in this historic battle live on NBC at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Are we having fun yet in college football? Week 11 wasn't supposed to be the week of chaos, but alas, we saw Clemson, Washington and Michigan all get beaten in a span of about four hours apart from one another. It's why we love college football and why the NCAA football odds at always so much fun to wager upon.
This week looks rather innocent on the surface, but there's definitely sure to be at least a little bit of madness here. Louisville and Ohio State both have potentially tough road games to deal with. The Cardinals are at Houston, a team that has already beaten Oklahoma this season and knocked off Florida State in Atlanta last season. This moment isn't going to be too big for the Cougs, who still dream of reaching the New Year's Six should Western Michigan slip up at some point. The Buckeyes have a date with Michigan State, and though Sparty is just 3-7, this is all they have left to play for. The Spartans will surely be live even though they're three-TD underdogs.
Two teams that had life breathed into their playoff hopes last week with all of the upsets were Colorado and Oklahoma, and now, both teams could find themselves on the ropes. They're both favored by very narrow margins against Washington State and West Virginia respectively, and you can bet that they're both on upset alert now in Week 12 as well.
Kent State at Bowling Green, Doyt Perry Stadium - 7 p.m. ET ( ESPNU )
Opening Line: Kent State -2.5
Preview: The season is effectively over for the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Bowling Green Falcons. Neither one is going to play in a bowl game this year, and these last couple games are more about playing out the string than anything else. These two teams will face off to kick off Week 12 of the season in what could end up being a competitive game. Continue...
Ohio at Central Michigan, Kelly/Shorts Stadium - 7 p.m. ET ( ESPN2 )
Opening Line: Ohio -1
Preview: The Ohio Bobcats are one win away from going to the MAC Championship Game, and there's still a chance they are the only bowl eligible team in the MAC East. The Central Michigan Chippewas are just 2-4 in the conference, but at 5-5, they're in the midst of a fight just to get into a bowl game. This Week 12 clash is definitely a game that could be particularly tough for the Bobcats in their last roadie of the season. Continue...
Ball State at Toledo, Glass Bowl - 7 p.m. ET ( ESPN2 )
Opening Line: Toledo -21
Preview: The Toledo Rockets need one more win to get themselves into a de facto MAC West Championship Game against Western Michigan. That win will have to come against the Ball State Cardinals in Week 12 of the season, a victory that should end up coming relatively easily in the premier game in the MAC on Wednesday night. Continue...
Northern Illinois at Eastern Michigan, Rynearson Stadium - 8 p.m. ET ( ESPNU )
Opening Line: Northern Illinois -4
Preview: The Eastern Michigan Eagles are partying like it's 1987. They've only been in a bowl game one time in their history, that being the 1987 California Bowl, but they're going to be back in the postseason this year after picking up their sixth win of the season last week against Ball State on the road. Now, the Eagles get to celebrate their accomplishments this season with two home games in Ypsilanti to end the campaign, the first of which comes in Week 12 of the year against Northern Illinois. Continue...
Louisville at Houston, TDECU Stadium - 8 p.m. ET ( ESPN )
Opening Line: Check Back Later
Preview: Remember when this game between the Houston Cougars and Louisville Cardinals in primetime was supposed to be the late-season showcase for both teams to get into the College Football Playoff? Now, it's just a shot for the Cougs to end any playoff hopes of Louisville. If Week 12 is anywhere near as crazy as Week 11 was, this could be the beginning of a boatload of problems for the top teams in the land, and the Cardinals are definitely on upset alert. Continue...
Arkansas State at Troy, Veterans Memorial Stadium - 9:30 p.m. ET ( ESPNU )
Opening Line: Troy -8
Preview:First place in the Sun Belt and very likely the conference title are going to be on the line on Thursday night in a well-placed and underappreciated nationally televised game. The Arkansas State Red Wolves and Troy Trojans are both undefeated in conference play to this point, and whichever one outlasts the other in Week 12 will end up in the driver's seat the rest of the way. Continue...
Memphis at Cincinnati, Nippert Stadium - 8 p.m. ET ( CBSSN )
Opening Line: Memphis -7
Preview: When Tommy Tuberville heads through the tunnel at Nippert Stadium on Friday night, expect it to be the last time he ever does so. The Cincinnati Bearcats have been disappointing this year, and it's clear that a coaching change is relatively imminent. They'll face the Memphis Tigers in Week 12 knowing that they have to win this game if they're going to have any chance whatsoever of going bowling out of the AAC. Continue...
UNLV at Boise State, Albertsons Stadium - 9 p.m. ET ( ESPN2 )
Opening Line: Boise State -26
Preview:The Boise State Broncos have rebounded nicely from their first loss of the season to win a couple games in a row. But now, courtesy of the UNLV Rebels, they've got a legit shot to get back into the Mountain West Championship Game, a position that would likely give them control of their own destiny for the Group of Five's spot in the New Year's Six. Now, the Broncos get a chance to take out the team that did them a big favor last week in Week 12. Continue...
Kansas State at Baylor, McLane Stadium - 12 p.m. ET ( ESPN2 )
Opening Line: Kansas State -2.5
Preview:The season for the Baylor Bears has officially gone off the rails once and for all. They've lost three games in a row, and now, they have to begin life without Seth Russell under center. All of a sudden, a season that had a shot of ending in the College Football Playoff or at least the New Year's Six might not even end above .500. The Kansas State Wildcats are definitely live in this one in Week 12. Continue...
Oklahoma State at TCU, Amon G. Carter Stadium - 12 p.m. ET ( FS1 )
Opening Line: TCU -4
Preview: The Oklahoma State Cowboys got incredibly lucky to get out of their home game with Texas Tech with a victory last week. Now, they've got to go on the road to play against a TCU Horned Frogs team fresh off of a bye and seeming to start to get its act together after a couple tough losses in a row against really good teams at the end of October. If OSU wants to keep its Big XII title dreams alive, it has to win this one in Fort Worth in Week 12. Continue...
UTSA at Texas A&M, Kyle Field - 12 p.m. ET ( ESPNU )
Opening Line: Texas A&M -26
Preview: The Texas A&M Aggies are in a world of hurt right now. They don't have Trevor Knight for the rest of the season thanks to a shoulder injury, and they were beaten by an Ole Miss team that also doesn't have its starting quarterback. Could the UTSA Roadrunners actually put up any sort of a fight on Senior Day in Week 12 in College Station? Continue...
Ohio State at Michigan State, Spartan Stadium - 12 p.m. ET ( ESPN )
Opening Line: Ohio State -21.5
Preview: There was a point this season that the Ohio State Buckeyes were genuinely worried about their road trip to the Michigan State Spartans. The game comes just a week before the big one against Michigan, and it's on the road in a place where National Championship hopes have come to die for a lot of teams in the past. If Week 12 is anywhere near as bizarre as Week 11 was, OSU could be on upset alert. Continue...
Maryland at Nebraska, Memorial Stadium - 12 p.m. ET ( ESPNEWS )
Opening Line: Nebraska -14.5
Preview:The Nebraska Cornhuskers are still going to need some help if they're going to come back and win the Big Ten West Division this year, but they're at least still in it with a shout if they can take care of business in these last two games. The fading Maryland Terrapins feel like they've hit the end of their road, and they don't figure to put up much of a fight in Lincoln in Week 12. Continue...
Wisconsin at Purdue, Ross-Ade Stadium - 12 p.m. ET ( ABC )
Opening Line: Wisconsin -27
Preview: After a wild Saturday last week, there are a lot of teams who feel like they have opportunities to get into the College Football Playoff. It's a stretch for the Wisconsin Badgers to get into that discussion at this point, but why not? The team is two wins away from getting into the Big Ten Championship Game with another shot to take on Michigan or Ohio State, and this one in Week 12 against the Purdue Boilermakers shouldn't end up being a deterrent. Continue...
Miami at N.C. State, Carter-Finley Stadium - 12:30 p.m. ET ( ACC Network )
Opening Line: Miami -3
Preview: The N.C. State Wolfpack are running out of time to get into a bowl game. They need to win one of their last two games of the season to get the job done, and their best chance to reach that coveted six wins is going to be in Week 12 of the campaign against the Miami Hurricanes. Continue...
Florida at LSU, Tiger Stadium - 1 p.m. ET ( SEC Network )
Opening Line: LSU -14
Preview: Both the Florida Gators and LSU Tigers bounced back from disappointing losses the previous week to get back into the win column last week. Though some luster has been wiped away from this game due to it being rained out earlier in the season, each side still has much to play for in Week 12. The Gators will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak at the hands of the Bayou Bengals to hold onto its grasp of the SEC East lead. Continue...
Oregon at Utah, Rice-Eccles Stadium - 2 p.m. ET ( Pac-12 Network )
Opening Line: Utah -12
Preview: It's official that the Oregon Ducks aren't going to a bowl game this year. They were beaten for the seventh time this season last week and now have absolutely nothing left to look forward to at the end of the year. The Utah Utes meanwhile, still think they can get a shot at the Pac-12 title, and who knows if that's going to be good enough to ultimately get into the College Football Playoff with the way things have been going? This Week 12 clash though, is still dangerous for a Utah team that hasn't looked great at times in shootouts this season. Continue...
Indiana at Michigan, Michigan Stadium - 3:30 p.m. ET ( ESPN )
Opening Line: Michigan -25.5
Preview: Just when you thought it was safe for the Michigan Wolverines to get to 11-0 heading into the Big Game against Ohio State… The Wolverines were shockingly upset last week at Iowa, and now, they're out of wiggle room leading into the game against the Buckeyes when it comes to both their hopes for the College Football Playoff and the Big Ten title. A Week 12 duel against the Indiana Hoosiers suddenly doesn't look like as much of a slam dunk as it did a week ago. Continue...
Virginia Tech at Notre Dame, Notre Dame Stadium - 3:30 p.m. ET ( NBC )
Opening Line: Notre Dame -1
Preview: The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are keeping their faint bowl hopes alive at this point, and they're going to need to win two very tough games to end the regular season to ultimately get the job done. The first game is against the Virginia Tech Hokies in Week 12, one that could easily go either way. Continue...
San Diego State at Wyoming, War Memorial Stadium - 3:30 p.m. ET ( CBSSN )
Opening Line: San Diego State -7.5
Preview: The safety net for the Wyoming Cowboys is officially gone. They were beaten last week by UNLV and now have to beat the San Diego State Aztecs in Week 12 if they want to keep their dreams alive of playing for the MWC title in a game that would also come against these Aztecs in a few weeks. Continue...
Buffalo at Western Michigan, Waldo Stadium - 3:30 p.m. ET ( ESPNU )
Opening Line: Western Michigan -35
Preview:The train just keeps on keepin' on for the Western Michigan Broncos. Even though it's certainly not a lock that they'd finish as the top team in the Group of Five if they did win out, in all likelihood, they're three victories from making a seemingly unprecedented appearances in the New Year's Six. The Buffalo Bulls have played better of late, but this is still a really tough battle for them in Week 12 in Kalamazoo. Continue...
Missouri at Tennessee, Neyland Stadium - 3:30 p.m. ET ( CBS )
Opening Line: Tennessee -14.5
Preview: The Tennessee Volunteers still believe they are going to win the SEC East in spite of the fact that they've been beaten three times already in conference play. They need to win these last two games of the year and get some help in the form of a Florida loss to LSU, and then they'll be off to Atlanta for a date with Alabama. The Vols can't afford a slip here in Week 12 against the Missouri Tigers. Continue...
Washington State at Colorado, Folsom Field - 3:30 p.m. ET ( FOX )
Opening Line: Colorado -3.5
Preview: The Pac-12 has turned out to be a heck of a conference this year from top to bottom, and it's good to see some new blood at the top of it all. There's a real chance that the Washington State Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes could meet in the Pac-12 Championship Game in a few weeks, and this Week 12 meeting could both be a prequel to that game and a CFP eliminator for two teams that are surprisingly still in the mix. Continue...
Florida State at Syracuse, Carrier Dome - 3:30 p.m. ET ( ABC )
Opening Line: Florida State -20.5
Preview: The Syracuse Orange have shown a lot of signs of life under new coach Dino Babers, and it's only a matter of time until they really take some steps into the forefront in the ACC. Though they haven't played all that well against the best teams on their schedule, you can bet they're going to be bringing their A-game against the Florida State Seminoles in their home finale in Week 12. Continue...
Texas at Kansas, Memorial Stadium - 3:30 p.m. ET ( ESPN2 )
Opening Line: Texas -22.5
Preview: The Kansas Jayhawks only legitimately had one shot to win a game this year in the Big XII, and they ended up losing that one shot against Iowa State last week. Another really disappointing home campaign comes to a close in Week 12 of the season in Lawrence when the Jayhawks face off with the Texas Longhorns. Continue...
Stanford at California, Memorial Stadium - 5:30 p.m. ET ( Pac-12 Network )
Opening Line: Stanford -11.5
Preview: It's simply known as the "Big Game." The California Golden Bears and Stanford Cardinal aren't separated by all that many miles, and they flat out hate each other, going all the way back to the day of the band running onto the field. Stanford has won six straight editions of the Big Game, and it has covered five of the six. This game though, is going to be a bit of a challenge in Berkeley against one of the highest octane offenses in America in Week 12. Continue...
Old Dominion at Florida Atlantic, FAU Stadium - 6 p.m. ET ( Local TV )
Opening Line: Old Dominion -8
Preview: The Old Dominion Monarchs are going to have to settle for second best in the East Division of Conference USA, as the team's loss to Western Kentucky is going to prove to be the difference between the two teams. Still, the Monarchs are going bowling and are sporting a 7-3 record heading into their last two games of the year, both of which should be wins. The Florida Atlantic Owls haven't shown much of a pulse, and they will likely end up falling down in Week 12 once again. Continue...
Arkansas at Mississippi State, Davis Wade Stadium - 7 p.m. ET ( ESPNU )
Opening Line: Pick 'Em
Preview: Some say that the SEC is a deep conference. Others say that it's a conference full of garbage outside of Alabama. We're not going to get a really good judge of that in Week 12 when the Mississippi State Bulldogs take on the Arkansas Razorbacks, but this game is vital for the Dogs if they want to keep any chance of bowl eligibility alive with just the Egg Bowl left to play the weekend of Thanksgiving. Continue...
Clemson at Wake Forest - BB&T Field - 7 p.m. ET ( ESPN )
Opening Line: Clemson -21.5
Preview: We love you, college football. The Clemson Tigers looked like they were going to coast into the College Football Playoff before ultimately losing to Pittsburgh at home. Before we all overreact, the Tigers still control their own destiny to get into the CFP almost certainly, but they can't afford another slip up. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons did a really nice job last week for 30 minutes against Louisville, and that's proof that they might be more game for this challenge than you'd think in Week 12. Continue...
Arizona State at Washington, Husky Stadium - 7:30 p.m. ET ( FOX )
Opening Line: Washington -25
Preview: The Washington Huskies are officially in some trouble. They were beaten at home last week by USC and now have to win each of their last three games of the season if they want to get into the playoffs. This home game against the Arizona State Sun Devils should theoretically be relatively easy, but after last week's madness, no one is quite sure what chaos could ensue in Week 12 of the campaign. Continue...
Oklahoma at West Virginia, Milan Puskar Stadium - 8 p.m. ET ( ABC )
Opening Line: Oklahoma -3
Preview:The Oklahoma Sooners had a miserable start to their season at just 1-2, but all of a sudden, they might actually have a chance to get all the way back into the chase for the College Football Playoff. They've got two really big games left to end this regular season, the first of which is going to be in Week 12 against the West Virginia Mountaineers. Continue...
Penn State at Rutgers, High Point Solutions Stadium - 8 p.m. ET ( BTN )
Opening Line: Penn State -27
Preview: The Penn State Nittany Lions are a Top 10 team in the land, and they're going to be heavy favorites in each of their last two games of the regular season. But they're nowhere near a lock to play in the New Year's Six, especially with Ohio State and Michigan still sitting atop of them in the pecking order in this conference. That's why these games against teams like the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in Week 12 must ultimately not just be won, but won impressively to keep the attention of the CFP Selection Committee. Continue...
USC at UCLA, Rose Bowl - 10:30 p.m. ET ( ESPN )
Opening Line: USC -10.5
Preview: The rivalry game between the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins is always incredibly intense, and this year at the Rose Bowl shouldn't be an exception. This Week 12 duel though, has the feel of some of the mid-2000s games when USC is expected come out and flatten its crosstown rivals from Westwood. Continue...
Air Force at San Jose State, CEFCU Stadium - 10:30 p.m. ET ( CBSSN )
Opening Line: Air Force -11
Preview: Every year, it feels like the Air Force Falcons just continue to have good, solid seasons. You probably don't have any idea whatsoever that they're 7-3, albeit partially thanks to a relatively easy non-conference schedule and some middling play in MWC play. They should rack up their eighth win of the campaign in Week 12 on the road against the San Jose State Spartans. Continue...
You aren't going to find yourself in much better position if by the time your handicapper puts his predictions out for the weekend the lines have been pounded and the value is gone.
