UFC Fight Night 110 Predictions - Dan Hooker vs. Ross Pearson

UFC Fight Night 110 Lines

Dan Hooker takes on Ross Pearson at UFC Fight Night 110 in New Zealand which takes place on Sunday, June 11th but airs live in the U.S. on Saturday, June 10th because of the time difference. This fight between Hooker and Pearson is one of six on the main card that can be seen on FS1, with the feature bout the one between Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt. Let’s look at Hooker vs. Pearson and UFC picks.

Bet on UFC Fight Night 110

Dan Hooker (13-7, 3-3 UFC)

The first six fights for Hooker in the UFC were at featherweight but now he returns to the 155-pound division for the first time since 2013. Hooker has alternated wins and losses in his UFC career with the most recent a defeat to Jason Knight at UFC Fight Night 101 in November. Hooker won his UFC debut in 2014 as he took out Ian Entwistle but Hooker couldn’t follow up that win with another, as he lost to Maximo Blanco. Hooker bounced back in 2015 to defeat Hatsu Hioki but then he lost to Yair Rodriguez. His two fights in 2016 were a win against Mark Eddiva and a loss to Jason Knight.

Hooker has six wins by knockout and five by submission with eight of those wins coming in the first round.

Ross Pearson (19-13, 11-10 UFC)

Pearson has a lot of experience in the UFC but lately he has not done well, losing his last three fights. He has lost to Stevie Ray, Jorge Masvidal and Will Brooks. He made five decisions in 2016 but lost four of the five bouts. It is amazing how oftent Pearson has been in action in the last three years, as he has fought 11 times. Unfortunately for Pearson, a lot of action has not meant a lot of wins, as he is just 4-7 in his last 11 bouts.

Pearson does have solid striking ability, as he has eight knockouts in his career and he also has some talent on the mat, as he has four wins by submission.

UFC 110 Picks

I think the change in weight class by Hooker will help him, so I will take him to get this win.
