Let’s take a look the MMA odds at BookMaker.eu and break down some of the night’s notable scraps.
Bet on Bellator odds now
Main Event, Lightweight
Brandon Girtz +125
Derek Campos -155
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -185, under +160
Campos is riding a three-fight win streak, beating good fighters in Melvin Guillard, Djamil Chan, Patricky Freire and Derek Anderson. At 29-year, Campos is fighting at career high levels and making a genuine run at the title.
Girtz is a dangerous submission artist trying to avoid a third straight loss. He’s already beaten Campos before, but many feel that it was a flash knockout as Girtz caught him flush less than 40 seconds into the fight. This time around, things should be different as Campos digs in.
MMA odds pick: Campos to win at -155
Co-Main Event, Middleweight
Kendall Grove +180
John Salter -220
Over/under 1.5 rounds, over -140, under +120
John Salter is riding a five-fight winning streak, most recently knocking out Claudio Annicchiarico at Bellator 168. The man is a talented finisher, as all 13 of his victories have come by some form of stoppage.
Grove is looking to bounce back from a TKO loss to Alexander Shlemenko at Bellator 162, and the TUF 3 winner will always present a problem due to his 6’6” frame. But despite his experience, the Hawaiian can bet rocked a bit too easily and is prone to fight-ending mistakes. That won’t fly against a guy with elite killer instinct.
MMA odds pick: Salter to win at -220
Steve Garcia +170
Joe Warren -200
Over/under 2.5 rounds, over -200, under +170
Former two-division champ Joe Warren keeps ticking at 40 years old. His best days are behind him, but he still presents a stiff test for young fighters looking to make a name for themselves. Coming off a close majority decision loss to Eduardo Dantas at Bellator 165, Warren will be plenty motivated to stave off calls for his retirement.
25-year old Steve Garcia is already a dangerous knockout artist, with 5 KOs in 7 career victories, but he’ll need to be make sure the rest of his skills are up to par to beat a veteran like Warren. The kid’s got a bright future, but Warren is easily the best guy he’s faced so far.
MMA odds pick: Warren to win at -200
