Hockey Betting Picks

In what could be a potential Western Conference Final preview the Nashville Predators will step into the Shark Tank to face the resurgent San Jose Sharks. The Ottawa Senators are a wreck of a franchise and will host a Toronto Maple Leafs team that will boast the majority of fans in the building. The free-falling Buffalo Sabres are at the Carolina Hurricanes, who have stunned all to gain a playoff position. The Minnesota Wild have no margin for error and face a must win game against the rebuilding New York Rangers. The Let’s take a look at the best bets for Saturday in the NHL!

Nashville Predators vs. San Jose Sharks, 10:30 p.m. ET

Nashville has been inconsistent to a maddening degree with four losses in their last six games to fall to second place in the Central Division. The Predators and Sharks have each posted two wins in the last four meetings in this head to head series. Five of the last six between these teams have gone over the total. But at the Shark Tank San Jose has won seven of their last eight against the Predators with just one of the last five meetings in this series at San Jose going over the total. The Shark Tank has proven to be quite an advantage for the Sharks. San Jose has been dominant on home ice with a record of 23-5-3-2. The Sharks boast the second ranked goal scoring team and are also sixth for the power play. Best of all San Jose is in good form with seven wins in their last eight games.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Ottawa Senators, 7 p.m. ET

Toronto has been a strong 21-9-4 on the road and ranks second in the NHL for goal scoring. The Maple Leafs have won six of their last ten games. The Leafs attack should find plenty of opportunities against an Ottawa defense ranked 31st for goals against. The Senators are in free fall with nine losses in their last ten games. Toronto has won three of their last four games against Ottawa with seven straight games between these teams going over the total. At Ottawa the Maple Leafs have won two of their last three visits with the last four games in this matchup on the Senators home ice going over the total. Ottawa is an absolute disgrace and debacle of a franchise and is clearly overmatched here.

Buffalo Sabres vs. Carolina Hurricanes, 7 p.m. ET

Buffalo is one of the worst road teams in the NHL with a mark of 11-19-2-3 and has lost eight of their last ten overall. Carolina has owned the cashier’s cage in their head to head series with the Sabres. The Hurricanes have gotten the cash eight straight games against Buffalo with the last four meetings going over the total. And at Carolina the Hurricanes have won four straight against the Sabres with the last three meetings at that venue going over the total. The Canes have been the biggest surprise in the NHL while the Sabres rank as one of the league’s biggest disappointments.

New York Rangers vs. Minnesota Wild, 8 p.m. ET

Few teams have lost more money on the NHL board than the New York Rangers as their full blown rebuild has taken away any real strengths. The Rangers are just 11-18-4-1 on the road. Minnesota has won six of their last 10 games and is one point behind the Arizona Coyotes for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Minnesota has won four of their last five meetings with the Rangers as the last four meetings between these teams have gone under the total. The Wild have won three of their last five home games against the Broadway Blueshirts with just one of the last six between these teams at Xcel Energy Center clearing the total.

The Rangers are playing out the string while Minnesota is fighting for their playoff lives.
