According to the golf odds, we could very easily see a showdown between Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy as they are the clear cut favorites to win. Spieth has a chance, with a win, to be the youngest player ever to win the career Grand Slam. McIlroy is the player to beat this week due to his outstanding play in past tournaments at Quail Hollow.

Rory McIlroy -150 vs. Jordan Spieth +120
This is the marque golf matchup of the week. Spieth needs a win to complete the career Grand Slam and McIlroy stands in his way on a course that he holds the course record and has won on twice. Rory will be hard to beat on a venue that clearly suits his game and not so much Jordans.
I’m laying the chalk and taking McIlroy.
Adam Scott -115 vs. Justin Rose -115
Both players have concerns coming into the fourth major championship. Scott with his putting and Rose with a possible injury that he’s hiding or trying to play through. Scott is a ball-striking machine and is in good shape to get the money over a struggling Justin Rose.
Phil Mickelson -115 vs. Tommy Fleetwood -115
I’m a big Mickelson fan and have been disappointed by his recent play, just like he is, disappointed! Now Lefty plays on a track where he’s won on and had great success over the years. I’m not losing faith, just yet. I’m taking Mickelson!
Paul Casey -120 vs. Sergio Garcia -110
Since Garcia’s epic win at the Masters Tournament, the Spaniard has played average golf and hasn’t contended at any of the big events. Casey, on the other hand, is a model of consistency, churning out top 10’s seemingly every week. In Casey’s last nine starts, his worst finish is a T26. Casey is in better form, more consistent and the better player this week.
Charl Schwartzel -125 vs. J.B. Holmes -105
Schwartzel is quietly playing some solid golf, while Holmes shoots 68 one day and 79 the next. The South African has a major in his pocket, the American does not. I’m banking on the better player and at a cheap price. Schwartzel whips up on the erratic Holmes.
Peter Uihlein EVEN vs. Graham DeLaet -130
I would take Peter Uihlein over the Canadian nine out of 10 times. Uihlein plays the majority of his golf on the European Tour and does quite well. DeLaet withdrew from last week’s Barracuda Championship which raises questions about his health. Uihlein should be the favorite, not Delaet.
Webb Simpson -115 vs. Brandt Snedeker -115
I liked this matchup - loved the homie, Simpson, but Snedeker withdrew. No Action!
