KLM Open Golf Odds and Predictions

European Tour Golf Predictions

The European Tour returns to The Netherlands at the Dutch for the second straight year and the 98th edition of the KLM Open where homeboy Joost Luiten tries to defend the title he won a year ago. He will be challenged by Bernd Wiesberger, Lee Westwood and a plethora of former Ryder Cup stars and multiple European Tour champions.

The event is one of only seven tournaments to be played every year since the European Tour’s first year in 1972 and it has produced great champions over the years - Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Payne Stewart and Colin Montgomerie to name a few.

Venue: The Dutch opened in 2011 and is located in Spijk which is 45 minutes south of Amsterdam. The layout was designed by Colin Montgomerie and naturally has a strong links feel. The track measures 6,983 yards and plays to a par 71. Three of the par 5’s come in the last six holes while water is in play on 12 holes. Keeping your ball dry is paramount. The wind will be a huge factor this week. Players that can control their ball flight will be the ones that play well this week.

Last year: Hometown favorite Joost Luiten dazzled the home folks with an overwhelming win. The Dutchman shot 19-under par and was flawless the final round, firing a 63 to overcome third round leader Bernd Wiesberger to win by three shots.

You might want to shop around for the best odds at a few sportsbooks to get the best price, but here is who I like this week in the golf odds.

Paraguay's Fabrizio Zanotti +3150 had a nice finish last week in Switzerland and now comes to a place where he’s had success in the past. He finished second here in 2010, fourth in 2015 and T16 last year. He picked up his second win on the European Tour earlier this year and at +3150, he’s worth a look in all formats.

Tom Lewis +5100 offers gamers the best VALUE on the board. It’s suppose to be windy this week and he plays well in the wind. In his last two starts, he’s finished T3 and T20. The Englishman is known for his ball striking and that will come in handy in the predicted tricky conditions.

The KM Open is scheduled to start September 14-17, 2017 at The Dutch in Spijk, Netherlands. The Golf Channel will televise the event.
