Seahawks vs. Packers TV Coverage: FOX
The Seahawks have a little bit different look this season with a new running back in Eddie Lacy and a new defensive lineman in Sheldon Richardson, but they still are thought of as a team that runs the ball and plays defense. The team won 10 games last year but they couldn’t handle Atlanta in the NFC Playoffs. Part of the problem for Seattle was a poor offensive line that gave up 41 sacks last season. The Seahawks did next to nothing to improve their offensive line so they could have similar problems this season.
On the other side, the Packers feature Aaron Rodgers and an explosive offense that will test Seattle’s “Legion of Boom” defense. The Packers have a plethora of weapons on offense including new tight end Martellus Bennett and Ty Montgomery who will be a full time running back this season.
Player to Watch
If the Packers are to win on Sunday it could be because Randall Cobb has a big game. He is not the feature receiver for Green Bay, as that honor goes to Jordy Nelson. In fact, Cobb will probably get fewer targets than Nelson, Davante Adams and Bennett. Against the Seahawks, Adams will probably get covered by Richard Sherman; Nelson will attract a lot of attention, so Cobb will be the player to watch. The Seahawks will pressure Rodgers, so Cobb will be a key player for Rodgers to find across the middle when he has to get rid of the ball quickly.
Seahawks vs. Packers Free Picks
Green Bay has gone 4-0-1 ATS in the last five home games against Seattle. The home team is also 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in this series. Seattle is simply not as good on the road as they are at home and they always struggle in Green Bay. I will lay the points and take Green Bay on Sunday.
