Is this the biggest moment in the career of Josh Allen? Allen had a nice night against Gardner-Webb in Week 2, throwing for 328 yards and two touchdowns. That said, there's a big difference between playing against a poor FCS team and a Pac-12 squad that has one of the biggest boosters for any college on the planet.
There are going to be several NFL scouts in attendance to see how Allen plays against the Ducks, and he'll have the benefit of playing at home, a place where he has been nothing short of fabulous in his career. Allen now has 24 touchdowns against just seven interceptions in his career at home, and his Cowboys are 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in his games played here at War Memorial Stadium to boot.
But the Ducks are the real deal. Justin Hebert has taken over as the starting quarterback for this team and has been the best that the Ducks have had since Marcus Mariota left by a wide margin. Herbert threw for 365 yards and three touchdowns against Nebraska, and he helped the team race out to a 42-point first half against the Children of the Corn before slowing down in the second half.
Oregon is averaging 635.0 yards and 59.5 points per game through two games this season. Though things were bad in the second half against Nebraska, the Ducks averaged 19.8 points per quarter in their first six quarters of the season.
Is Royce Freeman sneakily playing his way into the Heisman Trophy discussion early in the season? His raw speed is flat out dumb, and when he gets into space, look the heck out. Freeman now has at least 150 rushing yards in consecutive games, and he's got six touchdowns to his credit to lead the team.
Most remember Freeman as the man who only had 945 yards last season for the disappointing Ducks. But what should be remembered is that he has 4,449 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns in his career, and he should have a field day against a Wyoming defense that was shredded by Akrum Wadley against Iowa on the ground to the tune of 116 yards on 24 carries.
All it takes is one big run for Freeman to get the Ducks going, and it's going to be hard for Wyoming to keep him out of the end zone.

We're only a few weeks into the season, and we consistently don't understand the hype for Allen. Sure, the man looks the part of an NFL quarterback, and we know that he has a big arm, but either he isn't all that good, or the team around him is abysmal.
The Ducks put together one of the most impressive halves of football of the season against Nebraska last week, and though they did let their foot off of the gas pedal for a little bit, they got the job done when they really needed to.
The talent gap here is immense. Oregon has some legitimate NFL talent on the defensive side of the ball as well, and we don't think Allen is ready to take a .500 MWC team and put it on his back to beat a middling Pac-12 squad. We'll happily lay the points even though it's probably what all of the top online sportsbooks are looking for you to do this week.
