Colorado opened up as a 2.5-point favorite and slowly moved to 3.5. The game total is holding steady at 63. The Buffaloes were one of the hottest teams during the regular season cashing 10 of 12 tickets, while Oklahoma State was a respectable 7-5 against the spread.. As far as the total, the Cowboys hit the over 7 of 12 games, while the Buffs were more of an under team cashing in 8 of 13 chances.

OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOYS 9-3
ATS: 7-5

Oklahoma State loves to throw the ball deep and averaged over 300 yards per game passing, but in their three losses the deep ball was taken away and the Cowboys struggled. Quarterback Mason Rudolph’s favorite target is James Washington who will be playing on Sunday’s very soon. It will be paramount that the Cowboys protect Rudolph and give him time to hit the deep ball and that may be difficult against a Colorado team that brings constant pressure and ranks 14th in the country against the pass. If Okie State wants to win they will have to do a better job of protecting their quarterback.

COLORADO BUFFALOES 10-3
ATS: 10-3

Colorado was one of the surprise teams this year, winning 10 games when they were predicted to finish near the bottom of the PAC-12 conference. The big question for Colorado is whether starting quarterback Sefo Liufau will be 100 percent healthy. Without any doubt, Liufau is the most important player on the Colorado roster. He is one of the best dual-threat qb’s in the nation but his running style has made him susceptible to injury, and it's cost the Buffs. Colorado lost three games this year and in all three Liufau either missed the game entirely or had to sit out portions of the game. Without Liufau, the Buffaloes don’t have a chance, but with him will win by two touchdowns. All indications point to a healthy Liufau, but it is something to keep your eye on as we get closer to gameday.

Colorado owns the all-time series with a 26-19-1 record.

PREDICTION: It comes down to the health of Buffaloes starting quarterback Sefo Liufau. If he’s anywhere near 100 percent, Colorado will prove why they are a top 10 team and be too much for the Pokes to keep up with. After being snubbed by the Rose Bowl, the Buffs will be highly motivated and cover the spread. Colorado wins, 35-27.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys meet the Colorado Buffaloes in the 2016 Alamo Bowl on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the game and ESPN will televise the game live.
