Memphis vs. UCF TV Coverage: ABC
The stakes in this game couldn't possibly be bigger. UCF isn't the only team playing for a spot in the New Year's Six. Memphis should easily play its way into the top spot amongst the Group of Five schools should it pull off this upset, and it would be a deserving contender in most likely the Fiesta Bowl as well.
Since losing to UCF, the Tigers are 7-0 SU and 6-0-1 ATS, and they've scored at least 56 points in four games and at least 41 points in six of the seven.
Riley Ferguson threw three interceptions in the first meeting of these two teams, but he has 31 touchdowns against five picks against the other 10 teams on his schedule.
Once the South Florida/UCF game was said and done with, it was immediately called one of the best games of the entire season. The Knights walked off the field as 49-42 winners thanks to three fourth quarter touchdowns.
McKenzie Milton is just a sophomore, but he isn't playing anything like a second-year player. He has thrown for at least 300 yards in three of his last four games and has put eight touchdowns on the board for UCF in his last two games.
This offense has scored at least 30 points in all 11 games this season, one of the longest stretches in the nation. No matter the foe, UCF has managed to stay balanced, and that's why this is one of the few teams in the land that ranks in the top-40 in the nation both on the ground and through the air.
11.4 – The number of yards per carry Darrell Henderson is averaging over the course of his last four games.
The sophomore has really lit it up in these last four games in spite of the fact that he hasn't carried the ball more than 14 times in any of the four games.
Henderson only had six carries for 48 yards in the first meeting, and he was largely taken out of the game due to the fact that the Knights were ahead for essentially the whole game.
The Tigers are absolutely going to have to take the pressure off of Ferguson in this one if they're going to have a shot against what might be one of the best teams in America.
Memphis vs. UCF Free Picks
The easy thing to do would be to lay the 7-points at your favorite internet sportsbook. We're not so sure that's the right call, though.
The Bulls exposed UCF's defense with big play after big play. If the Tigers want to win this matchup, they're going to have to basically play the same offense USF did. Though Ferguson isn't nearly as mobile as Quinton Flowers, he takes a slew of shots down the field to all of his receivers.
Anthony Miller was basically not a part of this game in the first meeting, but we think he's going to have a huge game this time around against a Knights secondary that just allowed a slew of 20+ yard plays to the Bulls. With 11 catches, 307 yards and three touchdowns in his last two games, Miller could be the man who leads one of the tremendous shocks of the season.
