Bet the San Antonio Spurs at BookMaker.eu
Hopefully you listened to me a few weeks back when the Spurs continued losing games on their “Rodeo Trip” out of the All-Star break and bought you some shares on San Antonio winning the title. If you did, you got the best of the number with the Spurs odds to win it all cut by 35 percent. Since managing just one win on that aforementioned road trip, Gregg Popovich’s squad is back in a solid groove having rattled off six straight wins and covering the closing NBA odds in five of those matchups leading up to Friday’s home clash with New York. After dropping an embarrassing 130-118 decision to the Knicks in MSG back on February 24, it’s pretty safe to assume LaMarcus Aldridge and company will tie the series up when the rematch is said and done.
That brings us to Saturday’s bout with Portland that also enters the bout unrested after battling Anthony Davis and the Pelicans in the bayou the night before. I’m expecting some positive regression to hit the Spurs who have been nothing short of awful on no rest to date. They’ve only managed a pair of wins through 13 tries overall and been outscored by nearly 10.0 points per game. The efforts resulted in a 6-7 record ATS. However, this is a crucial Western Conference showdown with both clubs jockeying for better playoff positioning. The home team has won and covered the three prior meetings this season, and I expect the same result to play out at betting sites on Saturday night.
Bet the Golden State Warriors at BookMaker.eu
I scored a nice payday on the Warriors both against the spread and on the money line in the first leg of this extended four-game road trip at Houston on Wednesday night, and I’m rolling those winning into the defending champs in tonight’s heavyweight bout with Russell Westbrook and the Thunder; with or without Kevin Durant in the lineup. The 106-104 win over the Rockets gave NBA bettors a glimpse of what the defending champs could look like when all their weapons are healthy and in fine form. DeMarcus Cousins had his best game as a Warrior in going for 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and he’s going to need to have another big game matching up with OKC’s excelled rebounders to allow Golden State to win the season rivalry. I think he does just that to take one of the Thunder’s main advantages out of the equation and lead the team to victory.
The Thunder has managed just one win and cover the last five times it welcomes the Warriors into the Chesapeake Energy Arena. I don’t envision its fortunes changing in this one with the Dubs looking like they actually care about end games at the moment.
Bet the Brooklyn Nets at BookMaker.eu
The Nets have had no luck against the Jazz in the recent rivalry going 2-8 SU and 3-7 ATS in the L/10 overall meetings. On top of that, they’ve accrued just three wins and pointspread covers at top rated sportsbooks the L/10 times they paid Salt Lake City a visit. However, I like this spot for Brooklyn who will have had 2+ days to get over seeing its four-game win streak snapped in Oklahoma City last time out. With five more games remaining on this daunting tail end of the season road trip, I fully expect D’Angelo Russell and company to come out motivated to snap their two-game losing and coverless streak when invading Utah’s gym.
Heading into Thursday night’s home tilt with the Timberwolves, the Jazz had lost two straight and failed to cover four in a row when playing in front of the hometown faithful. Utah had also failed to cover each of the L/4 times it went off board favored to win at home. Though the Nets have failed to cover two straight on the road when in the dog role, they’ve recently made for a lucrative investment in that role the previous eight times by reeling in six covers. I expect them to revert back to their moneymaking ways in this spot.
