Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET, NBA TV
Speaking of defense, the Boston Celtics boast the fourth best stop unit in the NBA. Compare that to the Los Angeles Lakers and their pathetic rating of 24th in the NBA for points allowed. As a matter of fact, LeBron James has had to be physically pushed by frustrated teammates into defensive position. James arrival at LA is a classic case of being careful for what you wish for. The so-called King has shown increasing arrogance and a sense of entitlement that has served to alienate fans and gamblers alike. Los Angeles is in free fall with just one payout in their last ten games. Further, the Lakers have covered just 12 out of their 33 games at Staples Center. Head coach Luke Walton was long ago tuned out by the selfish James and will likely face the firing squad at season’s end.
