Bet the Los Angeles Lakers at BookMaker.eu
Regardless of whether Zach LaVine returns from the knee injury that kept him out of the Bulls 131-108 blowout at the hands of the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, I want absolutely nothing to do with Chicago in this spot. Even with the Lakers invading the Windy City having dropped five straight both straight up and against the closing NBA odds, I will lay or take the number with the Lakers; curious to see where oddsmakers line this one.
It has everything to do with No. 23 who has made it a point over the course of his career to take it to the Bulls. Chicago went 3-1 SU & 2-2 ATS versus the Cavs this season. Last year with LeBron James still a member of the franchise, they went 0-4 SU but did manage to cover three times. It’s certainly within the realm of possibility that Chicago is actually laying a few points at top rated sportsbooks in this matchup. Should that turn out to be the case, I’ll forgo the pointspread and hammer the Lakers on the money line fully expecting LBJ to take it upon himself to end LA’s current losing streak and sweep the season series from the Bulls.
Bet the Denver Nuggets at BookMaker.eu
The Nuggs will have had 3+ days to get their mind and body right after absorbing that 122-105 beat down at the hands of the Golden State Warriors last Thursday night. With that, I expect Nikola Jokic and company to be 100 percent locked in and ready for the task at hand. Minnesota was playing some fantastic ball at the tail end of February, but it’s been back to the norm since the calendar turned to March with Karl-Anthony Towns and company managing just two wins over the L/6 with Sunday night’s game against the Knicks to be played.
Making matters worse for the visiting T-Wolves is the fact that this will be the team’s third game over a four-day stretch in altitude against a well-rested Denver team. Though the Nuggets only managed to win the first two meetings of 2018-19 by an average of just 1.5 points per game, I’m expecting a much larger margin in this one. Each took place in the Target Center as well. Denver’s been a money-burner in the home chalk role of at least 6-points recently ( 1-3 ATS ), but it stood 11-3 ATS the previous 14 times in that price range. I got a feeling a huge beat down plays out tonight, and Timberwolves meat will be on the menu!
Bet the Portland Trail Blazers at BookMaker.eu
Both the Blazers and Clippers are in the thick of the Western Conference playoff chase with the former currently the No. 5 seed and the latter checking in at No. 7. With both teams separated by just 2.5-games in the standings, there’s no question each side will look to bring its “A” game to the hardwood for this one. If that’s truly the case, I’m all in on Damian Lillard and company who get the benefit of playing this one on 2+ days rest while Lou Williams and company enter unrested having run with the streaking Celtics the previous night.
While it’s a possibility Los Angeles lays down knowing full well the ramifications of this game’s end result are more important, I’ll throw caution to the wind and look to buy as many shares of the Trail Blazers as possible. Portland kicked off the second half of its campaign with six straight wins and covers on the road before Memphis ended the streak; a game we recommended backing the Grizz. As hot the Clippers are currently running, only one of their L/7 triumphs has come against a team destined to partake in the playoffs. LA looks to have a decent young team in place, but it isn’t ready to win a crucial conference home battle against a team also fighting tooth and nail to better its playoff positioning - Back Rip City!
