76ers vs. Bucks TV Coverage: ABC
The Sixers could enter this matchup winners of three in a row after it took a two-game win streak into Friday’s home tilt with Sacramento. The Kings entered that matchup on no rest after running with Boston the previous night, so it’s safe to assume they’ll be gunning for a fourth straight win in this spot. Last we saw Ben Simmons in live action, ne and his mates ousted the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-99 but came dreadfully short of covering the 15-point spread. Philly’s actually been nothing special on the road where it’s played to a .500 record and killed bankrolls in going 13-19 against the closing NBA odds.
The Bucks wasted no time getting back into the win column for their wagering supporters last time out in New Orleans in logging the 130-113 win and cover as 10.5-point favorites a game removed from dropping a tough one in San Antonio to the Spurs. Bigs Khris Middleton and Giannis had huge games combining for 47 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists en route to leading the team to an Eastern Conference best 24th win on the road. Milwaukee has consistently been one of the best wagers the Association has to offer this season, and enters this heavyweight bout having covered six of the L/10 times they stepped onto the hardwood.
JJ Redick – If there is a chink in the Bucks’ armor this season, it’s defending the perimeter. Milwaukee is allowing its opposition to convert at a near 36.0 percent clip from downtown which ranks out below average overall. Though the unit is still the owner of the league’s best defensive efficiency, a whopping 34.7 percent of the 108.4 points per game allowed have come from deep. Redick and Tobias Harris are the 76ers two best 3-point shooters with the former converting at a .388 clip and the latter .386. Over the team’s last eight games, Redick’s best scoring showings have come away from the Wells Fargo Center. That said, he only knocked 3-of-8 attempts down the first time Philly invaded Fiserv in late October and the Sixers lost that matchup 123-108 as 5-point dogs. He’ll need a much better showing for Philadelphia to be more competitive this time around.
Matchup to Watch
This tilt pits two of the best rebounding teams in the league up against one another. In terms of rebound rate, Milwaukee checks in at No. 3 behind Portland and Denver while Philadelphia ranks out right behind them at No. 4. The first showdown saw Milwaukee outboard the Sixers 51-50 yet still go on to win the game by 15 points. Philly didn’t have Boban Marjanovic in the first go round, and the big man just returned to the Sixers active roster. He scored 11 points and pulled down 5 rebounds in just over 13 minutes of floor time. If he can ramp that production up and stay on the floor a bit longer, winning the battle of the boards would definitely fall within the realm of possibility for the visitors. Should that occur, it will be in a position to not only cover at top rated sportsbooks but win outright.
Bet 76ers vs. Bucks at BookMaker.eu
It’s been quite some time since the Sixers came up with a win it could beat its chest about. The most impressive over the last 10 games occurred in Oklahoma City where it took the Thunder out 108-104 as 3.5-point underdogs in a game Paul George was forced to miss due to injury. Also in that stretch were losses to the Rockets, Warriors and Trail Blazers. If this team is to be considered a viable threat to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals, it needs to start winning more of these high profile games. It doesn’t get much bigger than this with Milwaukee currently the owner of the conference’s No. 1 seed. Alright Philly, let’s see what you got!
