BookMaker $1 Million March Madness Bracket Challenge

NCAA Tournament Contests

The BookMaker $1 Million Perfect Bracket Challenge is back for the 2019 NCAA Tournament. will give out a first place prize of $1 million dollars to any qualified entrant who correctly predicts the winner of every game of the 2019 NCAA Tournament. In addition to the potential grand prize, BookMaker will award $10,000 to the 1st place winner of the contest, $5,000 to the 2nd place finisher and $2,500 to the 3rd place finisher. Places are paid all the way through the Top 100 and even if you don’t finish in the Top 100, every single entry is a guaranteed winner, as BookMaker awards BetPoints.

“Everyone gets in on the action and plays bracket contests in March, so why not take a shot at becoming $1 million richer,” said a spokesperson for Bookmaker. “It's our goal to provide our members with an exciting experience and this contest certainly does just that. Every completed entry receives a prize, so you can't lose.”

Picking a Winning Bracket

If you have filled out a March Madness bracket in the past you know how fun it is, but also how challenging it can be. There are 68 teams to look at and a lot of statistics to consider. If you don’t want to take a lot of time agonizing over each pick, there is a simpler way. It requires no research and no guessing. You simply pick the better seed in every game. Are you going to win $1 million dollars that way? No. Are you going to do better than the average person? Yes. In fact, you are going to do a lot better. If you look at data from the last eight NCAA Tournaments you will find that if you simply picked the better seed in every game you would have done much better than the average person who filled out a bracket. If you had picked the better seed in every game over the last eight years you would have netted 19.5 points more than the average person filling out their bracket.

What this should tell you, is that while picking that No. 15 or No. 16 seed is fun to do, it won’t win you your bracket. What you need to do is pick a lot of better seeds and then throw in some timely upsets. That is how you win your bracket. History has shown that you are better off missing out on a few potential upsets rather than be wrong on a power team going all the way. Keep in mind that #1 seeds are twice as likely to make the Final Four as any other team.

The great part about the BookMaker $1 Million Bracket Challenge is that you can win cash just by finishing in the Top 100. If you pick a lot of top seeds to advance, and if you can find a couple of key teams that make a strong run, you could be the person that wins this year’s contest.
