Weekend Sports Betting Schedule May 16-17
Weekend Sports Betting Schedule for the weekend of May 16-17. Sports betting odds at the online sportsbook.

Slowly but surely, organized sports are starting to come back. Albeit without fans in the stands, but it’s a start. The UFC set the tone last weekend with the highly successful UFC 249. It’s back on Saturday with another loaded card for MMA bettors to sink their teeth into! More reputable soccer also get going this weekend with the return of the Bundesliga. We’ve even got some PGA golf to chew on with some big wigs going at one another in the name of COVID-19 charity and we get NASCAR on Sunday. Though we still haven’t heard much about any of the four majors getting back to work, it’s still nice to see something other than extreme marble racing or game sims being the only options. Hopefully this return to normalcy continues; here’s a look at what’s going down at online sportsbooks through the weekend.

The Vysshaya and Pervaya Liga has satiated the appetites of soccer bettors for the last month+ and will do so once again this weekend with a 12-pack of games set to go combined through the two leagues. However, it’s the German Bundesliga that’s taking the spot light away with it set to return to the pitch since halting the season due to the novel coronavirus. FC Bayern Munich is set to take the field on Sunday when it runs up against FC Union Berlin as decided -500 favorites. Keep in mind, Munich has won the title a total of 28 times and is currently gunning for its eight straight! They’re currently -425 favorites on the Bundesliga futures odds to pull off the feat. Numerous matchups have hit the betting board for matchups set to go later in May. It’s nice to see some normalcy returning to the pitch. Hopefully it’s not premature.

A skins match is set to go down at Seminole Golf club in Juno Beach, FL this weekend when No. 1 Rory Mcllroy and former No. 1 Dustin Johnson oppose Rickie Fowler and Matthew Wolff in a charity event sponsored by Taylor Made that will produce $4 million worth of charity for coronavirus relief efforts. The Johnson/Mcllroy duo are currently -196 favorites to win what’s being the appetizer to next week’s main course when Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson pair up with a couple of dudes that played quarterback in the NFL; you mighta heard of them ;) The spectacle this weekend however comes in the form of the course otherwise known as Seminole Golf Club. It’s where pros and the rich and famous have honed their skills for over a century. Tune into NBC or Sky Sports from 2-6 p.m. to check it out!

The UFC has really lifted the spirits of the betting industry after UFC 249 brought with it one of the most heavily bet events in the history of the sport. Then Glover Teixeira shocked MMA bettors by securing the fifth-round TKO of Anthony Smith on Wednesday night. More mixed martial arts madness is set to go down once again at VyStar Veteran Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL this Saturday night with a loaded 11-match Fight Night card headlined by the heavyweight matchup between Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris with the latter the -145 favorite to win the match. Other notable matchups include strawweights Claudia Gadelha (-220) vs. Angela Hill, and featherweights Dan Ige vs. Edson Barboza (-135) who went down a class for this fight in hopes of extending his career. MMA fans and bettors are certainly getting their money’s worth over the last week!

ESOCCER continues to be a major attraction for fans of the real and artificial sport as the world sticks to its quarantine measures due to COVID-19. An abundant 14 variations of ESOCCER from England EPremier League Invitational to Liga Pro to Battle Champions to the Cyber World Cup are all lined up and ready to partake in action through the weekend. Fans of the sport should be able to latch onto one of these leagues and enjoy themselves once other leagues start to follow the course plotted by the Bundesliga this past weekend. Ninjas in Pyjamas will attempt to get back on course in CS:GO betting action with a tilt against Heretics of which their lined the -210 chalk to come out on top of; three other matchups are slated for Saturday. DOTA 2 has nine matchups locked in for Saturday, while a huge weekend awaits for Overwatch fans with 17 skirmishes all lined up through Sunday. Another loaded weekend of E-Sports betting is upon us, so do your homework and make some cash!

We got some UFC last weekend to start getting things back to normal and this weekend we get NASCAR returning, as the drivers will race at Darlington. This will be the first of three Cup races in a matter of just seven days, as there will be another race on Wednesday night and a race in Charlotte next Sunday.

The Madden NFL20, NBA2K20, MLB The Show 20 and NHL20 EA Sports game sims will all be going down over the course of the weekend. Also entering the fray is FIFA20 and it’s possible some more UFC3 matchups go down as well. Each and every one of these sports sims can be watched and wagered upon live on their respective family of streams at @PrimeTimeAction on Twitch.TV.

The highly successful ESPN 10-part documentary entitled “The Last Dance” will come to an end this Sunday night when episodes 9 and 10 are broadcasted. I’ve certainly enjoyed each and every second of this series, and am sad it’s already coming to an end. This week’s episodes are expected to dive in deeper into the Bulls playoff runs for each respective 3-Peat. Tune in Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET to take it all in one last time.
