The Cleveland Guardians visit the New York Mets on ESPN’s Sunday night baseball this week. It is a full schedule of action on Sunday, May 21 with a number of nationally televised games. In addition to the Guardians and Mets on ESPN, it will be the Yankees at the Reds early on Peacock, the Cubs at the Phillies and the Twins at the Angels on MLB Network and ESPN+ has the game between the Marlins and Giants in San Francisco. The Mariners blew a lead last Sunday that cost us our three-team sides MLB parlay but our totals parlay came through for us when the Rangers and A’s went over and the Cardinals and Red Sox went over. We’ll focus again this Sunday on three main picks for our MLB sides parlay and two picks for an MLB totals parlay. Let’s look at Sunday, May 21st MLB Parlay picks.

Sunday MLB Parlay Picks

New York Yankees

The Yankees visit the Reds on the early game on Peacock on Sunday. New York will be giving the ball to Luis Severino who will be making his first start of the season. New York really needs Severino to pitch well and take a spot in what is a very weak rotation behind Gerrit Cole. The Reds continue to place their faith in Hunter Greene and there is no question the kid can throw the ball hard, but that isn’t enough to have success in the Major Leagues, and Greene hasn’t had much. He is 0-3 with a 4.60 ERA this season. I’ll take the Yankees as the first team in the parlay.

Texas Rangers

The Rangers host the Rockies on Sunday and it should be Connor Seabold going for Colorado, while Texas throws Andrew Heaney. The Rockies are hoping Seabold turns into a quality starting pitcher, but we’ll see. He is 1-0 but his ERA is more than five and he doesn’t figure to have much success against an excellent hitting Texas squad. Heaney is 2-3 with a 4.71 ERA. I’ll look for the Rangers to get the home win as the second game in the parlay.

Houston Astros

I am not afraid to throw big prices into a parlay, as the high-priced favorites win the majority of the time. The A’s visit the Mariners on Sunday and it should be Kyle Muller against Framber Valdez. This is a complete mismatch, as Muller is 1-3 with a 7.71 ERA for the worst team in the league, while Valdez is 3-4 with a 2.84 ERA. I will take the Astros as the last team in the parlay.

MLB Totals Parlay

Marlins-Giants Under

The Marlins visit the Giants on Sunday and it should be a good pitching matchup with Jesus Luzardo going against Alex Wood. Luzardo is 3-2 with a 3.16 ERA, while Wood has an ERA of 2.87. I think you can make a case for taking every game in this series under, as neither team is potent offensively and has good pitching. I’ll go under with the Marlins and Giants on Sunday.

Red Sox-Padres Over

The Red Sox visit the Padres on Sunday afternoon and it should be Corey Kluber going against Michael Wacha. There is not much to like about Kluber right now, as he is 2-5 with a 6.41 ERA. The Red Sox may not be able to keep him in the starting rotation much longer. Wacha is 4-1 with a 4.06 ERA. I’ll go over the total with the Red Sox and Padres.
