The St. Louis Cardinals visit the Boston Red Sox on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball this week. It is a full slate of action on Sunday, May 14, with a number of nationally televised games. In addition to the Cardinals and Red Sox on ESPN, it will be the Angels at the Guardians on Peacock, the Braves at the Blues Jays on MLB Network, the Padres at the Dodgers on MLB Network and the Rangers at the A’s on ESPN+. We just missed out hitting our sides parlay last week, but the Twins just couldn’t do anything against Cleveland. We’ll focus again this Sunday on three main picks for our MLB sides parlay and two picks for an MLB totals parlay, including the Sunday night game between the Cardinals and Red Sox. Let’s look at Sunday, May 14th MLB Parlay picks.

Sunday MLB Parlay Picks
Seattle Mariners
The Mariners conclude their series against the Tigers on Sunday and it should be Logan Gilbert on the mound for Seattle. There is no question that Gilbert is one of the top starters for Seattle and you can make a case he is just as good as the high-priced Luis Castillo. Gilbert is just 1-2 on the season but his ERA is under four and he has been pitching better of late. He has gone at least six innings in four of his last five starts. On the other side, the Tigers look to throw Joey Wentz who is 1-3 with an ERA of more than six. It doesn’t really matter to me who the Tigers throw, as this is a play on Gilbert and the Mariners. I’ll take Seattle as the first team in the parlay.
Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers host the Royals on Sunday and it should be another mismatch, as the Royals are one of the worst teams in the league. It should be Jordan Lyles going against Freddy Peralta. I have absolutely no idea what the Royals see in Lyles or why he is in their starting rotation. He is 0-6 with a 6.20 ERA. Peralta is 4-2 with a 3.32 ERA. In this game I am not really worried about who the Brewers send, as this is a play against the Royals and Lyles. I’ll take the Brewers as the second team in the parlay.
Texas Rangers
Another mismatch should take place in Oakland with the Rangers visiting the A’s. It should be Andrew Heaney going against Drew Rucinski. There is not much to like about the A’s and Rucinski has been awful, with an 0-3 record and an 8.16 ERA. Heaney pitched well last time out against Seattle and I expect him to start rounding into form. I’ll take the Rangers as the last team in the parlay.
MLB Totals Parlay
Rangers-Athletics Over
I mentioned this game earlier where we are taking the Rangers. I think Texas may be able to clear this total all by themselves, as they are the highest scoring team in the league. The A’s will probably score a few against Heaney, so this should be a game that goes over the total.
Cardinals-Red Sox Over
The ESPN game has the Cardinals visit the Red Sox and it should be Miles Mikolas against Corey Kluber. There is not much to like about the way either of these two is pitching, as Mikolas is 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA, while Kluber is 2-4 with a 6.29 ERA. I’ll go over the total with St. Louis and Boston as the other game in the parlay.
