A huge race for motorcycling fans, this event kicks starts the season at the Losail International Circuit, for this years Moto Grand Prix of Qatar for the return to the big 1000cc engines.
Located on the outskirts of Doha, the capital city of Qatar, is the only night race on the MotoGP calendar and has established itself as one of the most spectacular on the MotoGP calendar.
In 2008 the wonderful Losail International Circuit hosted the first night time MotoGP in history. This flowing 5,4 km circuit features a long straight of just over 1 km, with a good mix of medium and high speed corners making it particular challenging for new drivers, which is further complicated by the fact that it is lit by more than 3,600 bulbs, and the heat often hits over 40º C making conditions particularly tough for riders.
