Undefeated World Middleweight Champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the son of Mexican legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., will return to the boxing metropolis of El Paso, Texas for the first time in nearly six years, headlining “Viva Chávez!” on Saturday, June 16, at Sun Bowl Stadium. Chavez Jr. will will defended his title for the third against Andy Lee.
Chavez Jr. (45-0-1, 31 KOs), of Culiacan, México, will be making his third defense of the belt he won last year against Sebastian Zbik. He made his first title defense against Peter Manfredo Jr. at Reliant Arena in Houston in January 2011 and then once again against Marco Antonio Rubio, in February at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
