Donaire, is the former WBC and WBO Bantamweight, Interim WBA Super Flyweight and IBF Flyweight Champion and he is now the reigning WBO Super Bantamweight Champion. Donaire won the vacant WBO title in his last fight on February 4, outpointing Wilfredo Vazquez Jr in San Antonio.
Donaire or the "Filipino Flash" is a powerful puncher, skilled and fast than any boxer in the Bantamweight Division. He fought many big names Boxers like Vic Darchinyan in 5th round TKO and Fernando Montiel with the unforgettable great knockout punch in the 2nd round.
Jeffrey Mathebula is currently the IBF junior featherweight champion and he is ranked as the sixth best super bantamweight in the world by The Ring. Mathebula is coming off a split decision win over former IBF super bantamweight champion Takalani Ndlovu in April 2012. This will be Mathebula's first time fighting in the United States. The 32-year-old Mathebula isn't an exceptional fighter, but at 5'10" is very tall for the weight and will have a real height advantage on Donaire, which will be a change of pace for Nonito.
