Zab Judah vs. Jose Armando Santa Cruz
Zab “Super” Judah is 32 years old, with 38 wins 6 losses and 2 bouts ending in a no contest. His height is 5 foot 7 and a half inches tall with a 72 inch reach, fighting out of the southpaw stance.
In Judah's previous fight he beat veteran Ubaldo Hernandez (22-20-2, 10 KOs) by 2nd round TKO on Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judah knocked down Hernandez twice in the round one and finished him off with a body shot at 0:35 of round two.
This fight is suppose to be a tune up fight for Zab in his attempt to gauge some of the top light welterweights such as Devon Alexander and Timothy Bradley, but can Judah look impressive and stay focused enough to overwhelm Cruz. This will be Judah's first time fighting at Newark's Prudential Center.
Jose Armando Santa Cruz is 29 years old, with 28 wins and 4 losses. His height is 5 foot 10 inches with a 74 inch reach, fighting out of an orthodox stance.
Santa Cruz (28-4, 17 KO) is best-known for being disgracefully robbed against Joel Casamayor in 2007, when he challenged for Casamayor's lineal lightweight crown. Since then, he's gone 3-1, with none of the wins being notable and the loss a sixth-round knockout at the powerful but limited hands of Antonio Pitalua.
Undercard fights feature local sensations Alex Perez & Angel Concepcion from Newark, NJ, Sadam Ali & Adam Kownacki from Brooklyn, NY, Patrick Farrell from Jersey City, NJ, Nicky DeMarco from Staten Island, NY.
Also confirmed Tomasz Adamek (41-1, 27 KO) will indeed be fighting washed-up, never-was Michael Grant (46-3, 34 KO).

Although still somewhat a baby in the arena industry, the Prudential Center Newark has already become a popular New Jersey and New York metropolitan area venue for sports and live entertainment.
