UFC 74 "Respect"

UFC 74 on Aug. 25th features UFC legend and heavyweight champion Randy Couture defending his title against Gabriel Gonzaga.

Randy "The Natural" Couture (+105) opens as an early underdog as he is looking to defend his belt against Cro Cop killer Gabriel Gonzaga (-135) in a clash of unlikely combatants. This Matchup was supposed to be Cro Cop vs Tim Sylvia!

UFC superstar Georges St. Pierre and Josh Koscheck want some respect for a UFC title shot on the line for the winner. Former Welterweight title holder Georges St. Pierre (-230), as he looks to return to form against wrestling aficionado Josh Koscheck, who's an early dog at (+180).

Former light heavyweight title challenger Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral will look to snap a two fight losing streak when he returns to the Octagon to face tough up and comer David Heath in a 205-pound matchup on August 25th’s UFC 74 card.

Also confirmed for the show, which will take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a lightweight matchup between lightweight contender Roger ‘El Matador’ Huerta and UFC newcomer Alberto Crane.

Huerta took Alberto Crane with a tko in the third round.

Patrick Cote Vs. Kendall Grove Results

Cote took Kendall Grove with a TKO in the first round.

Stevenson Vs. pellegrino Results

Stevenson and pellegrino was back and forth. I thought that Stevenson would roll through batman, but kurt had his moments. two judges scored the fight 30-27, and 29-28 for stevenson. Stevenson almost finished the fight in the third but Kurt was able to hold on. Stevenson looked impressive.

GSP Vs. Koscheck Results

Koscheck was completely dominated by GSP. I thought that GSP came back into form. He was able to take Koscheck down at will, he had a few submission attempts and controlled the ground game. GSP's strategy was to put Koscheck on his back because wrestler dont do well on their back. GSP takes it with a unanimous decision.

Randy Courture Vs. Gonzaga Results

Gonzaga and Couture was a great fight. The contest was back and forth thorugh the first round. The most impressive part of that first round was the 225 lbs Couture lifting and slamming the 250 lbs Gonzaga. Randy dominated Gonzaga in the same fashion he did with Ortiz and Sylvia. He stuffed gonzaga against the fence, and took his shots. One interesting point in the fight is that Gonzaga called a time out in the middle of the second round which costed him a point. But it didnt matter in the end, Couture was able to take the victory with a TKO in the third.

UFC 75: Champ vs Champ
