UFC Betting Updates: UFC 138 will be headlined with a 185-pound middleweight matchup between heavy-handed punchers Chris Leben (26-7 MMA, 12-6 UFC) and Mark Munoz (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) for a possible shot at a title fight. The MMA fight will also host a co-main bantamweight showdown between Renan Barao (26-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Brad "One Punch" Pickett (20-5 MMA, 0-0 UFC).

The UFC 138 takes place Saturday, Nov. 5 at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England and features the UFC's first five-round, non-title fight. To date, the UFC has hosted just one show in Birmingham. UFC 89, which took place at National Indoor Arena in October 2008, drew 9,515 attendees and featured a headliner between Michael Bisping and Leben. Also, the UFC 138 will be the last free card on Spike TV, the fight will air on same-day tape-delay in the U.S. with a three-hour time slot starting at 8 p.m. ET.

Chris Leben vs. Mark Munoz Betting Lines

The matchup pits striker vs. ground fighter with Leben (who owns 14 career knockouts) and Munoz (an NCAA Division I national wrestling champion). In recent fights, though, Munoz has become much more comfortable on his feet.

Leben looks to build off a 27-second knockout of Wanderlei Silva earlier this month at UFC 132. Leben has won four of his last five bouts, including finishes of Aaron Simpson, Yoshihiro Akiyama, and Wanderlei Silva. Leben, lone defeat came to Brian Stann.

Munoz, meanwhile, has moved into title contention on the strength of a three-fight win streak and six victories in his past seven fights. His current run includes decision victories over Simpson, Demaian Maia at UFC 131 in June, and a knockout of C.B. Dollaway.
