NCAA College basketball Final Four 2004 highlights
This years Final Four has been one of the most exciting, for fans and players. With Duke and their coach Mike Krzyzewski could assume a place in NCAA tournament history with a win against Connecticut on Saturday. Coach Krzyzewski has won 64 tournament games, one less than North Carolina's Dean Smith.  This is Coach Mike Krzyzewski 10th time in the Final Four. That ranks third in college basketball history, trailing UCLA's John Wooden with 12 and Smith with 11. In total this will be Duke 14th trip to the Final Four. Duke and UConn will meet in the Final Four on April 3, Saturday night at the Alamodome. Deng, a 6-8 freshman swingman at Duke will face his former teammate Villanueva, a 6-foot-11 freshman forward at UConn for a shot at a National Championship. They were basketball teammates at Penns Valley and McDonald's High School All-Americans. You could not forget about Oklahoma’s John Lucas III hit the last shot of the game with 6.9 seconds left to beat Saint Joseph's 64-62, advancing the Yellow Jackets to their first Final Four since 1990. The Yellow Jacket first three games in the St. Louis Regional were decided by a total of 13 points. Saint Joseph's didn't make the Final Four, but the Hawks swept the Rupp awards, announced by the Commonwealth Athletic Club of Kentucky. Senior guard Jameer Nelson won the Rupp Trophy as the nation's best player after leading the Hawks to and undefeated regular season and into the East Rutherford Regional final. Hawks coach Phil Martelli won the inaugural Rupp Cup. The awards are named after Kentucky coach Adolph Rupp, who won 876 games and four national titles with the Wildcats. The match-ups should be even more exciting this Saturday April 3, 2004 – with Duke facing off with UConn and Georgia Tech matched up with Oklahoma to get a chance be the next NCAA championship title.
