Seven-division world champion MANNY “PacMan” PACQUIAO and former world welterweight champion and current No. 1 contender Joshua Clottey will square off, to replace the cancelled bout of Pacquiao vs Mayweather is the boxing match of Pacquiao vs Clottey which will happen live on March 13 at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Pacquiao is a very fast-handed, hard-punching southpaw. He uses rapid in-and-out and side-to-side movement to set up stinging punches from angles that may have made Isaac Newton rethink his work.

Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs), of General Santos City, Philippines, will be defending the World Boxing Organization welterweight title against No. 1 contender Clottey (35-3, 21 KOs), of Accra, Ghana, who fights out of Bronx, NY. THE EVENT will be broadcast Live on Pay Per View, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Clottey (35-3, 20 KOs) last fought in a split-decision loss to welterweight titlist Miguel Cotto on June 13, a fight many believed Clottey won.

Joshua Clottey is seen as one of those hard luck fighters who always seem just on the outside of the spotlight. He’s no slouch but he’s also not anybody’s secret weapon. We’ve seen him look good against decent fighters like Diego Corrales and Zab Judah but we’ve also been puzzled by his seeming inability to capitalize on opportunities against the likes of Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto.

Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38KOs) won a dominating, one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over Joshua Clottey (35-4, 20KOs) to retain his WBO welterweight title. The scores 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109. Pacquiao tried heavily to open up Clottey’s inactive position but to no avail, Clottey was just excessively defensive. The fight did not have knockouts, whackings or fireworks, just for Joshua pick out to be in turtle mode all end-to-end.
