Budweiser Shootout Driver OddsThe 34th annual season-opening event launches Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 18th with green flag set for 8:10 p.m. FOX and MRN will broadcast live nationally. The "Budweiser Shootout" held 1979-2008, was a non-points event (formerly named the "Busch Clash" and "Bud Shootout") has jump-started the NASCAR Cup Series and the he Budweiser Shootout marks the unofficial kickoff to the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. This much-anticipated event will roll off on Saturday night the week before the Daytona 500 and features the sport's biggest stars.

The winners of the "Bud Pole Award" from the most recent season and included past champions from prior "Busch Clash" and "Bud Shootout" events. The NASCAR betting race distance will be increased for this new format and be 75 laps around the 2.5 mile tri-oval compared to 70 laps in past Budweiser Shootout events. Another change to the NASCAR betting format for the Bud Shootout will be that the race will have two segments of 25 and 50 laps. Both green-flag laps and yellow-flag laps will count. Between segments there will be a 10-minute pit stop allowing teams to pit and change tires, add fuel and make normal chassis adjustments.
