NASCAR Nextel Cup looks for some southern hospitality when the Aarons 499 takes on the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama on April 17, 2011! The big, 2.7-mile Talladega Superspeedway track is known for races with lots of passing, and cars traveling four or five cars wide.
The Aaron's 499 will once again bring one of NASCAR's most anticipated yearly races to the legendary Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. The race pits NASCAR's greatest drivers against each other for one of the most coveted titles in the Nextel Cup chase.
With the betting action on the track becoming hotter than ever, there is no greater thrill than Aaron's 499 race action of NASCAR at Talladega. What driver will win the Aarons 499 in 2011? Bet if last year's winner Brad Keselowski can retain his title, or if a newcomer will race up to claim the throne in 2011.
NASCAR's largest track and second restricter plate race of 2011 is always exciting.
There are new restrictions at both Talladega and Daytona, NASCAR drivers started to go to fast at Talladega, so they had to do something to slow them down. That’s why we have restrictor plates now at both Talladega and Daytona. The plate is made of aluminum and has four holes drilled into it. They are placed in between the carburetor and intake manifold to reduce the rate at which fuel and air go into the engines combustion chamber, which reduces horsepower and slows the car down. The cars still go fast but it takes them a few laps to get up over 190 mph. If the plate wasn’t on one of today’s cars, speeds would reach well over 225 mph.
Bet the Nextel Cup drivers battle three wide in the turns at 200mph! Don't miss your chance to place a bet at the Talladega Superspeedway with Gamblers Palace.

Kyle Busch won under a yellow flag in a wild finish Saturday, taking the Nationwide race at Talladega Superspeedway when the last of 10 crashes sent Mike Wallace's car flipping upside down.
Busch captured his fourth win in seven Nationwide races — and 47th of his career — on a day when tandem racing produced a series-record 56 lead changes, 11 cautions and two red flags to clean up all the debris.
Even Busch got caught up in the mayhem. He spun out in the biggest crash of the day, a 21-car melee just 28 laps from the scheduled finish of the Aaron's 312.
Busch drove his battered Toyota onto pit road and figured he was done for the day. Instead, his crew patched up the damage, yanked off the pieces they couldn't fix and sent him back onto the track without losing a lap.
