The Preakness Stakes 137 is restricted to only 14 Preakness Stakes runners and will run on May 19th, 2012 at Pimlico Race Track and is the second leg of the Triple Crown. The starters will be determined with the first seven horses given preference by the highest lifetime earnings in graded stakes. The next four starters will be determined by the highest lifetime earnings in all “non-restricted stakes,” which means those stakes whose conditions contain no restrictions other than age or sex. Ridden by Javier Santiago for trainer Chris Grove, the chestnut colt was sent to the post as fourth choice of six at odds of 8-1.
