Jean Pascal and Bernard Hopkins will battle for the WBC Light Heavyweight Title, IBO Light Heavyweight Title and Vacant WBC Diamond Light Heavyweight Title.
On Saturday May 21st light-heavyweight champ Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins will face Number one contender Jean Pascal in a rematch from last December’s majority draw in Montreal, Quebec. The world championship bout will be televised live on HBO’s World Championship Boxing in the United States beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. PT and televised live on pay-per-view in Canada. A 12-round light heavyweight bout between former World Champions Chad Dawson and Adrian Diaconu will also be featured on the telecast.
In their first bout on December 18, 2010, Pascal 26-1-1, 16 KO’s, and Hopkins 51-5-2, 32 KO’s, engaged in a fierce back and forth battle over 12 rounds before a highly disputed draw verdict was rendered. Following the outcry over the debated draw in which the majority of ringside observers, viewers and media members felt the the 46-year old Hopkins was victorious.
Hopkins is a outstanding Boxer with unlimited talent. Hopkins has fought the best in the world of Boxing through out his entire career, not once backing down from a fight. Hopkins has beat some great fighters such as, Roy Jones, Tito Trinidad, Oscar de la Hoya, and a draw with Winky Wright.
Hopkins is a master at exploiting weakness and it's clear he perceives Pascal's fear as blood in the water. When Pascal slammed his fist on the podium in punctuation, Hopkins sneered and covered his mouth in mock fear. When the two men stood for the traditional camera-friendly stare-down, Hopkins inched closer to Pascal, taking a page out of Pascal's own playbook.
Pascal has only one loss on his record, that came from the great Carl Froch, that fight between Froch and Pascal was a Fight of the Year Candidate. Both Froch and Pascal where undefeated going in to this fight. Pascal gave everything he had against Froch but lost a unanimous decision, Pascal opened the eyes of fight fans around the world with his performance. and was giving a shot at the WBO super middleweight title. which Pascal won by Beating Pablo Daniel Zamora Nievas with a 5th round KO.

The 46-year-old Bernard Hopkins is now the oldest champion in boxing history, winning a unanimous decision against Jean Pascal in Pascal's hometown before 17,560 raucous fans at the Bell Centre, a new Canadian indoor record for a boxing event.
The fighters started out slow, but their dislike for each other showed through as the fight wore on. Hopkins taunted Pascal repeatedly, sticking his tongue out at champion several times. He even came out before the seventh round and did about four or five pushups to prove he was not as tired as a 46-year-old man should be.
The tongue-wagging by Hopkins seemed to touch a nerve in Pascal, 28, who responded by charging like a bull at Hopkins, who was able to avoid most of the punches and appeared to enjoy doing it, as if he was teaching the kid a few lessons leanred in his 23-year career.
Judge Guido Cavaleri scored the fight 115-113, Danseco Reynante 116-112 and Anek Hongstongkam 115-114, all for Hopkins, who used his guile and years of experience to avoid some of Pascal's wild swings, and to tie up Pascal whenever he needed a breather.
