Pacquiao Vs. Margarito beting Info

Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito Odds

WBO welterweight (147 pounds) champion Manny Pacquiao will begin training on September 20th, for what he says will be “the toughest fight” of his career in recent years.

On Saturday Nov. 13, the 31-year-old Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KOs) will face off with the 32-year-old Margarito (38-6, 27 KOs), at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas, Texas for the vacant WBC junior middleweight world title. The title was vacated by WBO king Sergio Martinez, who lifted both belts from Kelly Pavlik by unanimous decision in April.

The “Fighter of the Decade” who has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest fighters if not the greatest of all-time by winning –seven world titles in seven different weight divisions has conceded that his bid to win an eighth title in the super welterweight division is the hardest because Antonio Margarito is a much taller, bigger and strong opponent.

This marks Pacquiao’s second world championship headlining appearance at Cowboys Stadium. On March 13, professional boxing made its debut at Cowboys Stadium where close to 51,000 fans watched Pacquiao successfully defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title against former world champion Joshua Clottey.

For Margarito, who was suspended for one year after officials found a plaster-like substance in his hand wraps before his January 2009 loss to Shane Mosley, returned to the ring in May when he won a lackluster decision over Robert Garcia.

Margarito, a three-time world welterweight champion, this will be his second attempt at a world super welterweight title. Margarito’s resume includes victories over six former or current world champions. Known as the “Tijuana Tornado,” the hard-hitting Margarito is the WBC’s International super welterweight champion and its No. 1 super welterweight contender.
