Paul Malignaggi vs. Amir Khan - light welterweight
British Jr. Welterweight sensation Amir Khan will defend his W.B.A title belt against the one and only fast-talking New Yorker Paul Malignaggi at Madison Square Garden. This fight will be Khan’s US debut, confirmed at New York’s Madison Square Gardens on 15th May 2010.
Khan is coming off the best performance of his career in a 1st round KO blowout over contender Dmitriy Salita as a 7-1 favorite.
The 23 year old Amir Khan, has a record of 22-1 and will make the second defence of his title. Khan's last outing was an impressive 76-second demolition of Dmitriy Salita. The successful title defence signalled the end of his relationship with Frank Warren and the beginning of a new chapter in his career as part of Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy stable.
Paul Malignaggi is armed with a record of 27-3, with five knockouts, Malignaggi is absolutely thrilled to be fighting at Madison Square Garden, where his record is 1-1.
Known for his quick reflexes, Malignaggi defeated Juan Diaz in December 2009 by unanimous decision and will be fighting in his home town of New York. The first fight went Diaz's way on the scorecards although most felt Malignaggi should have had his hand raised at the end of the fight.
Under Card
Nate Campbell vs. Victor Ortiz
This is also a cross-roads fight for both men. Cambell is 38 and is facing what will probably be his last chance at a big fight and a world title. Ortiz is young, but a loss to Campbell will surely send him out to the wilderness for a while.
Southpaw junior welterweight Victor Ortiz was last seen scoring a 10th-round knockout over Hector Alatorre in the main event of a Golden Boy Promotions' Fight Night Club show.

Results and winner
The former British Olympian used crisp right hands and incredible speed to stop former titleholder Paulie Malignaggi in the 11th round Saturday night, a brutally efficient display of boxing that is certain to catapult him into the upper echelon of a deep 140-pound division.
Khan had Malignaggi trapped along the ropes in the 11th round when referee Steve Smoger stepped in, wrapped his arms around the Brooklyn resident and ended the fight at 1:25 of the round. Khan battered Malignaggi behind a monstrous jab, a vicious follow-up right hand, and an assortment of crosses and uppercuts to improve his record to 23-1 (17 knockouts).
