Devon Alexander vs Timothy Bradley Boxing Betting

Devon Alexander Vs. Timothy Bradley Odds

Weight division: Super Lightweight (140 lbs)

Title: WBC Title, WBO Title,

Date: Sat, January 29, 2011

Unbeaten WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11 KO’s) will be making his move for the number one position in the light welterweight division by taking on WBC light welterweight title holder Devon Alexander (21-0, 13 KO’s) on January 29th at the Silverdome, in Pontiac, Michigan. The winner of the Bradley-Alexander fight has to be considered the favorite to beat Khan in the future.

Alexander vs. Bradley will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing, beginning at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT

Boxing fans have been waiting for years to see these two young world champions collide. The St. Louis phenom Devon Alexander, who will put his unblemished record and World Boxing Council (WBC) super lightweight championship at risk while Bradley, from Palm Springs, Calif., enters the bout with a similarly perfect record and his World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior welterweight crown on the line.

Bradley has proven himself already in fights against Junior Witter, Nate Campbell, Kendall Holt, Miguel Vazquez. Luis Carlos Abregu and Lamont Peterson. In the Peterson bout, Bradley badly schooled Peterson, beating him by a one-sided 12 round decision.

Alexander’s stock has really dropped since his questionable 12 round decision over former WBA light welterweight champion Andriy Kotelnik in August. This was a fight that Alexander was supposed to dominate and he ended up almost losing the bout. Alexander had cruised through his first 25 bouts before that, easily beating quality fighters like Juan Urango and Witter. However, the fight against Kotelik has sent up red flags that Alexander may not be ready for a guy like Bradley at this early point in Alexander’s career. Only 23, he’s being rushed a little into this fight and this could backfire on him and his management.

Timothy Bradley vs Devon Alexander Results

Devon Alexander was stopped by the ringside physician in the 10th round after Alexander was head-butted for the second time by Bradley on Saturday night at the Silverdome, and Bradley earned a unanimous technical decision (97-93, 98-93 and 96-95).

The Palm Springs, Calif., fighter is still undefeated (27-0, 11 KOs) and in a prime position to challenge some of the best fighters in the world, including Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

Alexander, who like Bradley earned a little more than $1 million for the fight, lost for the first time and admitted he did not handle his bleeding well. The kid from St. Louis had deep cuts near both eyes, the left taking four stitches and the right two.
