Millitary Bowl Betting Tips

One of the first things to look for when examining the college football bowl odds is the current form of the teams. Some teams are coming into the bowl game playing very well, while others are coming in flat or disappointed. Motivation is a big key factor when it comes to looking at college football bowl betting lines, we also have to look at other things. Schedule strength, turnovers, recent form, and overall team power ratings are things to consider as the bowl games begin. You also want to take the individual game odds into consideration.

Millitary Bowl Picks - Toledo vs. Air Force

Need some NCAA football bowl betting tips to cash in big this holiday season? Well you've come to the right place, as we get set to preview each college bowl and picks on this year's Millitary Bowl.

The wrong team may be favored on the CFB odds when Toledo (8-4, 7-5 ATS) takes on Air Force (7-5, 5-7 ATS) in the Military Bowl from RFK Stadium in Washington, DC on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at 4:30 ET on ESPN & ESPN3.com.

Yes, favored Toledo has the more balanced offense, but the Rockets also have one of the worst defenses of any bowl team and the Air Force triple option offense has been giving much better defenses than Toledo’s fits on the CFB odds all year.

If you like straight line transitive property references, consider that Air Force went into Boise State to take on a team that is within one point of being undefeated and playing in a BCS bowl and was only outgained by 15 yards by the Broncos in a covering 37-26 loss. That same Boise team went into Toledo and outgained the Rockets by 261 yards in a 40-15 rout as a 20½-point road favorite. More
